Local YouTubers do Hervey Bay proud

LOCAL couple Talia Phillips and Brett Methven, producers of popular YouTube Channel “Coastal Chaos Adventures” have had a busy few weeks. The team have been selected to go up against some of the biggest names in the Fishing and Outdoors Industry in a World First Topwater Film Invitational charity event. The aim of the event is to raise awareness and funds to assist in the research and sustainability of marine ecosystems, a topic that is held close to the hearts of the Hervey Bay based couple. The duo from Coastal Chaos packed up the truck and hit the road chasing the best weather windows along the Queensland Coast battling rough seas, strong ocean currents, electrical storms and the everpresent

shark population, all while capturing the beauty of our amazing coastline, reef systems and the crazy fishing opportunities that go along with it! The evolving self-taught production skills and unique take on fishing content of this duo have earned them a place in this unique visual stadium. The event allows the ten selected teams ten days to film the best Topwater Specific content they can along the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and four days to edit a 20 minute cinema grade film with their own unique style and creative freedom. These films are exclusive to the charity event and can be viewed only via the Topwater Film Invitational App. The app registration does

cost $25, with the funds raised donated to OzFish Fish Habitat Restoration Australia. Upon signing up for the app you have the chance to vote for your favourite films as well as a chance to win $30,000 in prizes. App registration - www. topwaterinvitational.com/ Talia and Brett have said the local support has already been overwhelming! “We are hoping to do the local Fraser Coast proud by securing a place on the podium.” “We know we have what it takes, and we have the drive to really push our limits on this one!” The winning film is decided by people’s choice, so get behind these guys and let’s give some good old local support!
