Hervey Bay’s very own Married At First Sight
DANIEL Hunjas was a Hervey Bay local up until moving to the Gold Coast with his expanding business ventures four years ago.
“Life has been equally both challenging and rewarding. Almost every aspect of my life has gone through some kind of change… mentally, physically and spiritually.
“I semi-retired two years ago and now enjoy a lot more free-time. I live a very active beach lifestyle and I’m always looking for that next adventure” Mr Hunjas said. Hervey Bay has played its part in this year’s ‘TV Reality War’ with all three major TV Networks having a reality show at prime times to start the year.
Mr Hunjas was selected last year to be part of the “Married At First Sight experiment” which is currently airing on Channel 9.
Prior to going on Married At First Sight, Mr Hunjas said the dating scene was very new to him.
“Having been in two very long-term relationships throughout my adult life, …… you learn a lot about people in the dating scene, but I think that you also learn a lot more about yourself.”
The characteristics he is looking for in a partner is someone who is “adventurous…..and a bit of a thrill seeker.” He says “I am a very ambitious guy, so she needs to be genuine and driven and quite independent. Someone that is quite experienced in life, very confident and open minded.
“It’s no secret that I love the beach lifestyle so it’s imperative that my partner does too.
“If she’s a jealous type or has too many deep insecurities, that absolutely will not work with an ‘out there’ personality like mine.”
So what is next for Daniel outside of his love life? “For now, my eyes are firmly focussed on a new challenge. I am opening my first Tequila Bar, called Nacho Baby. And I have a few surprises up my sleeve!”
The TV show continues to record some of the highest audience numbers across Australia and we watch excitedly to see whether Dan finds love or not.
