All 39 borough council seats were up for election in May, along with an opportunity to have your say on who runs town and parish councils in Hertsmere.

The overall turnout was 33.1 per cent and the results were announced by our Returning Officer and Managing Director, Sajida Bijle at the count in Allum Hall, Borehamwood (pictured above).

For the first time, photo ID was required by voters. We ran a comprehensive campaign aimed at letting you know about these changes. Thank you to our colleagues who worked so hard on raising awareness (pictured above). For more information about voter ID for future elections, visit hertsmere.gov.uk/VoterID

To find out who your ward councillor is, turn to pages 34 to 39 or visit our website hertsmere.gov.uk/electionresults for the full results.
