Mandeville Primary School

New Build Project & Reception Refurbishment

Emma Mather, our Account Manager worked closely with Sarah Lilly, the school Governor to provide guidance for the school’s transition from 1 to 2 form entry. We created furniture and seating proposals that catered to their exact requirements for both the use of space and functionality across the school.

The project covered over 200 pieces of furniture across the Main School office, Staff Room, Reception area, KS1 classrooms, 4 new classrooms and the Head Teacher’s Office where we created a positive first impression for parents and visitors to the school.

The design and installation of 8 Bespoke Learning Walls from UK based supplier Willowbrook have now become a classroom essential, placing the interactive whiteboard at the central focal point to remain the key focus for learning.

With only one day between the new office and reception area block being completed and the children returning to school, timelines were extremely tight. We worked in line with the builders on the project and remained flexible with delivery schedules to ensure that the schools project was completed in time for the new term.

Overall, we proudly delivered exceptional looking rooms throughout the school with great quality furniture that gave a modern feel, bringing the schools vision to life.

Unity Schools Partnership

New Nursery Build

Unity Schools Partnership embarked on an exciting journey to open a new nursery, aiming to create an inspiring and engaging environment for young learners.

In January, the project took its first steps. An in-depth consultation was held with Unity Schools Partnership to discuss their vision and preferences. Emma Mather, our dedicated Account Manager, collaborated closely with Carla Dale, the Headteacher, and Karen Davies, the Nursery Manager. They envisioned a space that would not only cater to the developmental needs of the children but also spark their imaginations. We took note of the different zones required, such as the imaginative play area, creative and messy play section, quiet retreat, and the active play zones.

Each area required careful consideration to ensure it supported the children’s growth and development while being visually appealing and functional.

By the end of April, Millhouse had completed the installation of all the furniture. Our swift and efficient turnaround was a testament to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. From advising on necessary equipment to the final touches of installation, every step was made easy and stress-free for the nursery team.

The nursery now boasts a beautifully arranged space that caters to various educational activities:

• Imaginative Play: Stimulating creativity with thoughtfully designed play zones.

• Creative & Messy Play: Encouraging hands-on learning and artistic expression.

• Active Play: Promoting physical activity and motor skills development.

The transformation of Unity Stars Nursery was nothing short of magical. Each space was carefully curated to provide a balance of activity, rest, and creativity. The children now have a vibrant, dynamic environment that supports their holistic development. The staff are thrilled with the practicality and flexibility of the furniture, which allows them to easily adapt the space to different activities and themes.

We have experience of using County Supplies for new schools and know that they will support in all aspects of the project from measuring the site, gaining quotes, offering expert advice on product selection and all the way though to delivery and install. The service we received for Unity Stars was first class.

Newmarket Academy

Polaris SEN Unit Refurbishment

Polaris, the SEN unit within Newmarket Academy, needed a significant overhaul. The goal was to refurbish two classrooms, modernise the outdoor area and create a new office space. The transformation was set to be an extensive one! With the removal of a small kitchen and the installation of a brand-new one with new ceilings, flooring and a teaching wall.

Our Account Manager, Emma Mather, led the project by liaising closely with Sian Newby, the Headteacher’s PA. Together, we held meetings with the school, provided bespoke plans and designed tailored solutions that would best serve the students and staff.

We had the pleasure of bringing this vision to life. A stunning, modernised learning environment that boasts a brand-new fully equipped kitchen, a fresh outdoor area providing a safe and engaging space for students to enjoy and a sleek new contemporary office space, created to facilitate better administrative functions. The refurbished classrooms now feature state-of-the-art teaching walls, ensuring that teachers have all the resources they need at their fingertips.

The transformation has not only improved the physical spaces but also positively impacted the overall learning experience.

We are really pleased with the refurbished spaces. The space is now bright, open and much more user friendly. Students and staff really enjoy the space and you can see the positive impact it has had on the learning experience.

Emma at County Supplies was brilliant; really helpful and made the process straightforward and enjoyable.

Miss Sian Newby Headteacher’s PA Newmarket Academy

Parents and visitors are continuously commenting on the calmness of the learning environments which is testament to the furniture project delivered by County Supplies. We had received many positive recommendations from other schools referencing the professionalism in managing large and complex furniture projects.

Grace Cook

A brand new Primary & Nursery school fit out with furniture & resources

Grace Cook Primary & Nursery school opened in September 2022 in Stowmarket, Suffolk. Part of Orwell Multi Academy trust, the school initially opened for nursery, reception, year 1 and 2.

The school is aiming to expand gradually over the next few years to offer 210 Primary and 60 Nursery places. The school is named after Grace Cook (1877 – 1958), a pioneering astronomer and great role model from Stowmarket.

Our dedicated Account Manager provided a list of quotes and recommendations for the initial fit out which included a nursery room, 2 classrooms, office and staff room, dining area and library.

From preliminary discussions to regular meetings, the brief was revised and developed in line with the school’s needs.

We project managed the sourcing, delivery and installation of furniture on time and to budget.

The nursery has a role play kitchen, a dressing up unit, easels, wellie stand and trikes to encourage play indoors and outdoors. Classrooms are kitted out with tables, chairs and storage.

We have met all the schools needs in delivering furniture as well as resources from exercise books and stationery to cleaning and first-aid to ensure everything was ready for their opening in September 2022. We are now in discussions and developing plans for a brand new project.

We were delighted to attend the official opening of the school, with speeches thanking everyone involved, a delicious cake and a moving performance from the children singing “you’ve got a friend in me”.

All items were delivered on time and in a professional manner by Emma Mather, our Account Manager who ensured we were kept informed and updated on key milestone deadlines. The process was very clear and transparent. County Supplies took the stress out of the opening of a new school! We would not hesitate to use them again.

We’re now also in line with EN1729 standards, with regards to sizing and posture of our chairs.

Library

By creating innovative breakout spaces and modern contemporary designs, libraries can become inspiring places to learn

Our library space has been completely transformed and is now a space in which children’s love and passion for reading flourishes.

Parents have mentioned what an incredible library we have and have asked for photos to show family and friends.

Richard de Clare Community Academy Library revamp

The new Headteacher at Richard de Clare contacted County Supplies to help give their school library the ‘WOW’ factor. A key part of the brief was ensuring the room theme complimented the school’s maroon uniform. We delivered colourful chairs and modern tables to help engage and inspire. The key focal point to the library was the feature tree to help create an inviting and homely environment for pupils.

The service we received was faultless. I would have no hesitations to recommend or use County Supplies for further school improvement projects. First class service resulting in a stunning library.

2 Science labs, 1 Food Tech room & 2 classrooms

In the execution of this project, our dedicated Account Manager, Emma Mather, engaged in a collaborative and meticulous process with the Site Manager, Nick Howe, as well as the site team and builders. The primary focus was on facilitating the seamless delivery and installation of furniture for specific spaces within the educational facility.

The project encompassed the provision of furniture for two science labs, one Food Tech room, and two classrooms. Emma's hands-on involvement in the planning and execution phases played a pivotal role in ensuring that the furniture delivery and installation were not only aligned with the project's overall schedule but also tailored to the unique needs and specifications of each designated educational space.

The furniture for the construction project was delivered punctually, aligning seamlessly with the school’s schedule.

Nick Howe, Site Manager was impressed with County Supplies which has led to subsequent collaborations and furniture orders following the initial project!

BEAM

Transforming BEAM Café Bar

At the heart of Hertford lies a cultural gem, BEAM. BEAM comprises of a Theatre, Cinema and Community spaces. BEAM, previously Hertford Theatre reopened at the end of August and was closed for a complete revamp. We were honoured to be part of this major project to help remodel its café bar. The vision was clear: create a space that not only serves as a functional café but also embodies the theatre’s rich history and future aspirations.

Debbie Power, our dedicated Sales Manager, headed this project from concept through to reality. The process began with securing the perfect standalone furnishings, to complement the theatre’s remodelled interior.

County Supplies arranged a visit to the Clerkenwell Design Centre in London, to provide stakeholders with the opportunity to gather inspiration for trending furniture styles and to allow BEAM to communicate their ideas to achieve a more cohesive result.

The chosen furnishings were statements of style and comfort. Dining chairs and coffee tables were strategically selected, to offer visitors a comfortable and inviting environment. Low seating and coffee tables were positioned to provide a perfect vantage point over the scenic river, adding an element of relaxation to the café bar experience.

The new Screen and Kitchen bar are now a cherished part of BEAM, a vibrant space where the community can gather, relax, and enjoy. The new facilities have attracted a diverse audience, from theatre-goers and movie enthusiasts to artists and event organisers. By prioritising inclusivity and versatility, our project team successfully created a dynamic hub that will continue to serve and inspire the community for years to come.

Our Project Manager Debbie Power was supportive and excellent at communication.

The transformation of BEAM Café Bar was an exciting project for County Supplies, allowing us to blend functionality with style to create a vibrant and welcoming space. By carefully selecting furniture that enhances comfort and atmosphere, we’re proud to have played a key role in shaping a space where the community can connect and enjoy.

History Timeline, Library & Science Wall Art

Romans Field School is a Special School in Milton Keynes for children aged 5 to 11. The school has children with SEMH, ASD who follow the National Curriculum and pupils with significant complex needs who follow a bespoke Romans Field curriculum. Part of the Inclusive Learning Federation, the school works alongside two mainstream schools, Bradwell Village and Priory Common.

The school wanted to engage students with vibrant wall art in the library, hallway and Science room. Following the success inside the school, the Head Teacher requested a history timeline of Milton Keynes in the school grounds.

Bedgrove Junior School

Wall Art £5000 Prize Winner

In October 2023 we ran a competition for schools to tell us how they support eco-initiatives.

The prize was our biggest ever: Wall Art worth up to £5000, a Caring for Environment Product Bundle and a Wildlife Consultation with County Supplies & Middlesex Wildlife Trust.

Over 300 schools entered the competition and the winner was Bedgrove Junior School!

The school’s values of Inspire, Challenge and Succeed are central to the children’s learning and experiences at Bedgrove Junior. The environment is at the heart of Bedgrove’s values: to enable children to develop as respectful and caring global citizens contributing positively to the community and wider world.

The brief was to use the 3 walls to show a view of the world now if we continue to disrespect nature; an image of everyone coming together to help nature and an image of animals and nature thriving in the future.

The mural looks amazing. I am really pleased with the look, finish and the amount of colour it brings to the space. It really reflects what we are trying to do.
