II want to give a special shout-out to my neighbor and friend, Katharine Ligon, a contemporary abstract artist based at Winter Street Studios in Houston Despite enduring immense challenges in 2022 including the loss of her father and the devastating bombing and fire at her studio Katharine remained creative, optimistic, and resilient

For me, self-care means carving out time to nurture my mental, physical, or emotional well-being. With two small kids and a business to run, free time can feel nonexistent Still, I make it a priority to set aside 30 minutes each week whether it’s for a relaxing bubble bath or simply painting my nails These small things recharge me and remind me that even brief moments of self-care can make a big difference.
