Samantha Schulmeier marries

Schulmeier, Kelley marry in July

Vice President of Operations Samantha Schulmeier and Jonathan Kelley were married in an immediatefamily only ceremony on July 22 at Chapel Dulcinea near Driftwood.

Samantha has worked in the Home Office for more than 15 years. She was promoted to Vice President of Operations and COO in 2017.

Samantha is a fourth-generation member of Hermann Sons Life. With Samantha’s influence, Jonathan joined more than two years ago. They belong to Kirby Lodge.

Samantha is the daughter of Judith and Irvin Schulmeier Jr. Jonathan is the son of Christopher and Lauren Kelley.

She holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics with a minor in statistics from the University of Texas at San Antonio, an associate of arts degree in mathematics from San Antonio College and an associate of arts degree in business administration from San Antonio College.

Jonathan has been the Project Manager and Draftsman at Setien and Associates Structural Detailers for more than 11 years.

He holds an associate of applied science degree in computer-aided drafting and design from ITT Technical Institute.

Jonathan has already attended numerous Hermann Sons Life events and meetings with Samantha in the past few years and they look forward to making many more visits in the future.

Samantha would like to note that she is not related to Vice President of Member Benefits Cecily Kelly. They do spell their last names differently and like to argue about who spells it correctly.

Members may continue to see Samantha Schulmeier on official documents for a while as she makes the transition to using Samantha Schulmeier Kelley as her legal name.

EVERY THURSDAY – It’s Game Night every Thursday night at Hochheim-Prairie Lodge-Turner Hall in Yoakum. Games start at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 361-293-557.

OCTOBER

9 – Public dance featuring Keen Country from 8 p.m.-midnight. at the DaCosta Lodge Hall. Cost for dance is $10 or $5 for members. Everyone 12 and under an attend free of charge. Law enforcement personnel and anyone celebrating an October birthday will receive free admission. 13 – Moulton Lodge will hold a drive-thru plate sale from 4:30-6:30 p.m.. at the Moulton American Legion Hall, Hwy. 95 North. The meal will include a chicken fried pork steak, giblet rice and corn. Cost is $10. Tickets are available from local businesses. 17 – The San Antonio Home Association will hold its Annual Assembly at 2 p.m. in the Rathskeller of the San Antonio Home Association Building at 525 St. Mary’s St., San Antonio. All members of San Antonio-based lodges are invited and encouraged to attend.
