Walker named to new VP post SAN ANTONIO – Matt Walker, a 20-year employee of Hermann Sons Life, has been named Vice President of Information Technology, a new leadership position created by the Board of Directors at its January meeting. Matt was previously the Director of Information Technology. He joined Hermann Sons Life in 1996 as an IT contractor and was hired full-time in August 1997. He has held the Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation since 2009. He holds a bachelor of science degree in petroleum geology and computer science from Midwestern State University in
Wichita Falls. While in college, he received his private pilot’s license. Prior to coming to Hermann Sons Life, he was self-employed in information technology in industries such as home improvement, telecom and retail. After college he gained IT experience across several industries, primarily oil and gas and home improvement. Matt has two children. Son Jett is the band director at Bradley Middle School in San Antonio and daughter Laken is a music therapist in Houston. See BOARD, Pg. 2

Donations presented to Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs Pastor Frank Pomeroy of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs accepts a $7,400 donation from Community Service Coordinator Laura Adams and Vice President of Member Benefits Kim Krueger.
