Rowley honored
Administrative Assistant Gladys Rowley, left, was recognized at the recent Agents’ Awards Banquet by President and CEO Eugene Zollinger and Vice President of Sales Robin Czarnek. Gladys has been a Home Office employee for 20 years and has announced that she will be retiring at the end of the year so this was her last Agents’ Awards Banquet. At the Agents’ Awards Banquet on June 19, Vice President of Sales Robin Czarnek, left, presented each member of the Board of Directors with a hand-crafted charcuterie board that her husband, David, had made for each person being honored at the banquet. The boards are etched with the Hermann Sons Life logo and the name of the recipient. EVERY THURSDAY – It’s Game Night every Thursday night at Hochheim-Prairie Lodge-Turner Hall in Yoakum. Games start at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 361-293-557. EVERY WEDNESDAY – The San Antonio Home Association will host swing dance lessons every Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. in the Ballroom of the San Antonio Home Association Building, 525 S. St. Mary’s St., San Antonio. There is a class for beginners and a class for intermediate dancers. A swing dance follows the lessons from 8-10 p.m.
JULY
8 – Bingo will return to the Brenham Lodge Hall. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Cards will be go on sale at 6:15 p.m. and games will start at 7 p.m. 17 – Market Days at the DaCosta Lodge Hall from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. No cost to shop. Public dance featuring Zachary Grant Band from 8 p.m.-midnight. Cost for dance is $10 or $5 for members. 12 and under attend free. 31-AUG. 1 – The Hermann Sons Life Bowling Tournament will return to Austin. Bowlers can call Sandra Jones at 817-781-7155 for details. Entry deadline is July 1.
AUGUST
14 – Market Days at the DaCosta Lodge Hall from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. No cost to shop. Public dance from 8 p.m.midnight. Cost for dance is $10 or $5 for members. 12 and under attend free. 28 – DaCosta Lodge will hold its Summer Social with a cake walk and silent auction. The meal will be free for members. A public dance will be held from 8 p.m.midnight. Music will be provided by Tainted Heart. Cost for the dance is $10 for the public with members able to attend for free. Those 12 and under get in free of charge.
