Generations of Service & Protection

SAN ANTONIO – Hermann Sons Life is saying goodbye to a devoted and beloved leader. Past Grand President Leroy Muehlstein will be laid to rest on Saturday, Dec. 22, in Moulton near the farm where he was raised and spent some of his happiest days. Leroy passed away Monday, Dec. 17. He was 82. Leroy served as Grand President for 20 years – from 1989-2009 – longer than any other Grand President. He will be remembered as the ultimate fraternalist and a man who lived his life every day by the Hermann Sons motto of “Friendship, Love and Loyalty.” Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 21, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz. A rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 601 N. Pecan St., Moulton. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Social Center Fund, 601 N. Pecan St., Moulton, or Boysville, 8555 TX 1604, Converse. Hermann Sons Life will make a $500 donation to each one of these organizations in Leroy’s memory.
