Sales Department applauds agent efforts
February 2021
February is ‘Insure Your Love’ Month “Life Insurance: A simple act of love” is the theme for this year’s “Insure Your Love” Month celebration held each year in February. Here’s to appreciating all the little things we do and those everyday moments that shape our lives and give it meaning. In fact, our days are often filled with simple acts of love, one followed by another, that over time create a better future. Getting life insurance is like that, too. It’s a simple act you can take today to ensure your loved ones are protected financially tomorrow. It’s time to protect those everyday moments with life insurance. While you may not be able to meet faceto-face with your Hermann Sons Life agent, there are other ways to get business done. Give us a call at 877-437-6266 or 210-5279113 and we will put you in touch with an agent who can help you “insure your love.”

Pandemic continues to affect scheduled events SAN ANTONIO – As Hermann Sons Life continues to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on our lives and the way we do business, we would like to update you on decisions that have been made about upcoming events. The Retirement Home Chili Cook-off in March has been cancelled. Plans are being made to hold the raffle that is usually associated with the Cook-off. The raffle will bring in money for the Scholarship Fund without exposing anyone to the virus. If you would like to donate an item for the raffle, contact Manager Brenda Gunnink at 830-995-2724. As was previously announced, the 2021 Grand Lodge Convention originally scheduled for May has been postponed until 2022. Plans are moving forward to open Hermann Sons Life Camp this summer.
Executive Camp Director Ian Brassett has been hiring staff for months now. He will be implementing new protocols that will keep our campers as safe as possible. We are hoping to begin registration in March. We will, of course, be monitoring the situation and will be ready to comply with any mandates issued by the state with regard to summer camps. Our schools of dance continue to hold classes on a weekly basis with students preparing for their end-of-year recitals. These recitals may have a different look
to them because of the pandemic but we are hopeful that our young dancers will be able to enjoy their moment in the spotlight. The organizers of the Statewide Bowling Tournament are moving forward with plans to hold this year’s event in Austin this summer. The tournament will be held at Highland Lanes in Austin. The dates are July 31-Aug. 1 and Aug. 7-8. As for our lodges, some are meeting and some are not depending on their individual circumstances. Those that are meeting are not all meeting in person. Some are using Zoom and other meeting applications. We want to help you keep your members informed about your lodge’s plans. You can email us at kathien@hermannsonslife. org and we will post the information in the newspaper.
