President's Message

Despite the virus, we have much to celebrate

By EUGENE ZOLLINGER President and CEO As I write this it is three days before Thanksgiving, what has traditionally been considered the start of the holiday season .

Driving around town, I see that some people have already decorated their homes for Christmas .

I believe that's because, even

as the number of COVID-19 cases remains high, people are ready to welcome the holidays . They want to celebrate .

We all should see the holidays as a chance to focus on the positive things that have happened in 2020 .

I don't mean to diminish the impact the virus has had on our lives .

Pershing Lodge celebrated its centennial this year. The lodge planned a celebration had to be cancelled because of the pandemic. At the Board of Directors' meeting on Nov. 17, President and CEO Eugene Zollinger and Chair of the Board Sandra Jones, right, presented Pershing Lodge Vice President Alice Golla with a plaque recognizing the lodge's centennial.

We have all been touched by this pandemic in some way .

Every major Hermann Sons Life event for the year was cancelled along with dozens and dozens of lodge events .

The Home Office staff has remained diligent and has faithfully continued to come to work and serve our members .

Pulling together during the season of giving

By TIM KOLBE Vice President of Sales The holiday season has arrived during one of the most difficult and thus memorable years in a long time. These trying times were felt by just about everyone in our state and country.

But in times of strife and want, it’s communities and the people living in them who pull together, step up and help their fellow neighbor. Hermann Sons Life is part of those communities, and our local lodges and members are doing yeoman’s work in caring for those who were affected by the COVID crisis.

We don’t ask if you are a member of our organization before we extend a helping hand. Our only prerequisite is that you be in need, and if we have the ability to meet that need. Whether it be a helping

hand with physical labor, help stocking a local food pantry, cutting a lawn, painting a house, sewing a facemask, or making a monetary donation, our mission is to strengthen community through community service and assistance.

We all read about and view scenes of strife in our country; some near, some far, but striking in us a degree of fear none-the-less. Always remember that no matter what is going on in our country, we have the ability to affect the world around us in our own unique way, within our circle of influence regardless of size.

I had an ant farm when I was younger, and marveled at how animals so small could accomplish something so large and complex. One ant alone can accomplish little, but many ants working in unison and in symphony, can accomplish great

things. Hermann Sons Life members, although certainly not ants, can also accomplish much when we work together in unison for the common good.

We are bound together by a common thread - membership in an organization with a strong heritage by the ownership of a life insurance or annuity certificate.

Membership through products which provide financial protection for the family and other loved ones strengthens the ties that bind our community.

I recently attended the funeral of a fellow Hermann Sons Life brother, Frank Brandon. You will read his obituary elsewhere in this issue, so I will not relate all the details here. I knew Frank as a fellow agent, lodge officer, committee member and friend. My wife Cheryl and I got to deepen our relationship with Frank and

wife Darlette during visits to Corpus and other Hermann Sons Life events.

What I learned from Frank is that it is not what you accumulate in life which shines to your legacy, but rather what you have done for others, which affects their legacy. Good acts and works, coming from a good heart and strong faith in God are what Frank is most remembered for. Frank epitomized the term “servant leader.”

More than a year ago, Frank retired as president of Corpus Christi Lodge, and I was honored to attend the surprise celebration. You could have knocked him over with a feather, and the outpouring of love and affection from his fellow lodge members was a telling reminder of See REMEMBERING, Pg. 4

Help Wanted RETIREMENT HOME

Hermann Sons Life operates a Retirement Home in Comfort. This is an independent living facility. Nursing and medical care are not provided.

There are currently two positions open: Dining Room/Cook’s Helper and Housekeeper.

Qualifications (for both positions): • Must be at least 18 years old • High school diploma or equivalent • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds • Must be able to pass a background check Employment benefits include (for both positions): • Paid vacation, sick leave and funeral leave • Family and medical leave • A 401(k) retirement plan • Group medical insurance • Life insurance

Dining Room/Cook’s Helper

The Dining Room/Cook’s Helper’s responsibility is to keep the dining room clean and assist the cooks as needed. This includes but is not limited to keeping the dining room stocked, preparing drinks to be served at meals, cleaning toasters, microwaes and areas they occupy and washing all containers, dishes and cabinets as needed. The Dining Room/Cook’s Helper reports directly to the Retirement Home Manager or Assistant Manager if the Manager is unavailable.

Housekeeper

Housekeeping is responsible for cleaning all common areas of the Retirement Home. This includes but is not limited to mopping and sanitizing all floors, sanitizing public restrooms, cleaning guest rooms, washing linens and dust mops and washing windows. Housekeeping employees report directly to the Retirement Home Manager or Assistant Manager if the Manager is unavailable.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER Hermann Sons Life is accepting applications for the job title of Regional Sales Manager in the North Texas (DFW) and the East Texas (Houston) regions.

This is a full-time, salaried position, with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, sick leave and vacation.

Applicants should possess knowledge and/or management experience in life insurance and annuity sales.

The primary job assignment is to recruit, train and mentor new and existing field agents for Hermann Sons Life. The position requires travel within the region.

Fraternal organization experience is preferred, but not required.

New agents complete training SAN ANTONIO – The Sales Team continues to grow with the addition of five new agents in recent weeks.

They are Carolyn Daignault, Robert Hollingsworth Jr., Rosie Hollingsworth, Mark Mundy and Chris Naughton.

Carolyn Daignault lives in Sealy. She was born in California and raised in Sugar Land. She worked alongside her husband Jon assisting him with his automotive repair shop for many years. After losing her father

to Parkinson’s she worked as a pre-planning advisor for a local funeral home and cemetery from 2017 to 2019. She is now a licensed life insurance agent.

She has been married to Jon since 1995. She attended Wharton County Junior College for two years. They have a daughter, Corrine Noelle, and a son, Andrew. They enjoy traveling as a family. Carolyn likes to cycle, ride horses and gardening.

Agents from Sultenfuss agency join Sales Team SAN ANTONIO – Seven agents from the Get More Insurance Services have been added to the Sales Team at Hermann Sons Life.

Cynthia Sultenfuss, a longtime Hermann Sons Life agent, owns and operates Get More Insurance Services.

Get More Insurance Services sells all types of insurance including property and casualty and life.

When Hermann Sons Life changed its policy to allow the hiring of agents who are non-members and non-captive (they can sell life insurance from other providers), Cynthia was eager to add her agents to the Hermann Sons Life Sales Team.

“I am excited about the addition of Cynthia’s agents to our team,” Vice President of Sales Tim Kolbe said. “Cynthia is a valued member of Hermann Sons Life. We welcome the experience and knowledge of the life insurance business that her agents bring to the table. I look forward to working with them.”

He added, “This is the first time we have

done something like this - bringing on an entire agency - and as we seek other partner agencies, I am hopeful that this new strategy will pay dividends.”

Barbara Carr lives in San Antonio and is a member of Biry Lodge. She is licensed to sell property and casualty insurance.

She retired in 2018 after 25 years as an elementary school teacher.

Mark Mundy has been a financial advisor since 1988 when he joined Equitable AXA in Dallas. In 2003, he formed Mundy Financial Solutions and joined Foster Financial.

He has been hosting the Friday afternoon segment of Renegade Radio on KNON 89.3 since 1992. Renegade Radio is one of the longest-running shows in Dallas, the fifth largest radio market in

the United States.

A lifelong resident of Dallas, he graduated from Hillcrest High School. Mark married Barbara Norris in 2004.

He attended Texas State University in San Marcos, the University of Texas at Austin and Sul Ross State University in Alpine, among others. He has a degree in geology and maintains an abiding interest in the Big Bend area, where he did his field work.

In addition to his securities certifications, Mark holds Texas insurance and real estate licenses and a private pilot’s license.

He has been a member of Columbia Lodge in Dallas since 1996.

Chris Naughton was born and raised in San Antonio. After graduating from St. Mary’s University with a degree in management, he started a 13-year career with Western Auto. He then took a position as general manager for a Wabash National Dealership and eventually opened his own vehicle repair shop.

He is currently serving as the general manager of the Hermann Sons San Antonio Home Association building and serves on the Board of Directors for the association.

He has been a member of Siemering Lodge since 1966 and is currently serving as financial secretary of the lodge.

He is married to his long-time best friend and love of his life, Lori Todd,

a member of Louise Schuetze Lodge since 1969.

He has a son, Christopher Ryan, a member of Siemering Lodge since 1991.

His grandfather, John J. Naughton Sr., was a Grand Trustee for the Home Office and building manager for the Home Association.

Both his grandfather and father, John J. Naughton Jr., served as president for Siemering Lodge.

He is the proud grandson of Alice Naughton, a member of Louise Schuetze Lodge. Alice is the oldest living member of Hermann Sons Life at 106 years young.

We strengthen community

Lodges making a difference in their communities During the holiday season, lodges have made donations to many worthy organizations and completed other projects in support of Make a Difference Day COLUMBIA Columbia Lodge donated bottled water and Gatorade to the first responders at Dallas Fire Station No. 3 (see photo on next page).

The lodge also is donating $500 to a local Christmas toy drive.

Two blood drives were planned at the Dallas Lodge Hall.

One was to be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, and the other is set for Tuesday, Dec. 22. The time is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on both days. The American Red Cross will conduct the blood drives.

To make an appointment to donate, go to redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor keyword “SOHH.” Valid photo ID or a Red Cross donor card are required and all donors must wear face coverings while donating. Donors will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies and will be given a long-sleeved Red Cross t-shirt as a thank-you gift, courtesy of Suburban Propane.

DALLAS Dallas Lodge made a donation to CitySquare Food Pantry, an

organization that provides food and other services to the disadvantaged in the Dallas area.

FREDERICKSBURG Fredericksburg Lodge will collect donations from members attending the Dec. 1 Christmas dinner. They will be presented to the Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center.

JACKSON COUNTY Jackson County Lodge made a $400 donation to Jackson County Helping Hands in support of those who are less fortunate.

The lodge has made this donation for many years.

Earlier in the year the lodge donated $1,000 to the Jackson County Fair Association to help with the purchase of show animals. Five youth benefitted from this donation and they thanked the lodge for its support.

KIRBY Kirby Lodge is collecting donations for Boysville. The donations will be accepted at the Dec. 7 meeting or they can be dropped off at the lodge hall on dance class nights.

LOCKHART Lockhart Lodge recently donated a plexiglass barrier to the Golden Age Home. The barrier allows families to safely visit with residents. The 1017 Bois D’Arc also asked for a barrier

and members agreed at the November meeting to honor the request. Members also agreed to support Daniel Hyland’s Eagle Scout project. Supporting Eagle Scout projects has become a tradition for the lodge.

MACDONA Macdona Lodge made a $250 donation to the San Antonio Food Bank in observance of Make a Difference Day. McGREGOR McGregor Lodge members are asked to bring canned goods to the Dec. 2 meeting. They will be donated to the McGregor Food Pantry.

NEW BIELAU New Bielau Lodge made two donations this year. In observance of Join Hands Day, the lodge made a donation to Parkview Manor. In observance of Make a Difference Day, the lodge made a donation to the Weimar Food Pantry.

SIEMERING Siemering Lodge members have been making blankets, winter hats and stuffed animals.

They are looking for donations of jackets, sweaters, gloves and socks to pass on to veterans, both men and women. Call Sharon Hertzberg Fite at 210-2596522 if you have something to donate.

Giddings presents donations Giddings Lodge made a donation to Faith Lutheran High School in Vrana in observance of Make a Difference Day. President Pat Abell, left, presented the donation to Nikki Kueck, administrator.

Giddings Lodge made a donation to the local Sheriff’s Department’s Blue Santa Program.

Fort Worth donates to Military Order of the Purple Heart Prinz Solms member provides scarves Brooke Gourmley, a member of Prinz Solms Lodge, cut 50 scarves for donation to the homeless in the Bulverde community.

Fort Worth Lodge made a donation to the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Junior member Caden Jones, a member of Boy Scout Troop 275, and his grandfather and Vietnam veteran Ronnie Jones presented the donation on behalf of the lodge. Accepting the check was Lorin Storey. Other members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart present were Ron Fry, Mike Rabye, Jim Krause, Frank Rober and Gilbert Stogsdill. The group invited the two Fort Worth Lodge members to ride on their float in the Veterans Day Parade.

Corpus Christi Lodge was recently able to carry out the Join Hands Day project it had planned for May. Members joined members of Annaville Baptist Church to deliver 100 hygiene bags to those in need.

Columbia Lodge donates

One of Comfort Lodge’s $1,500 donations went to the Comfort Table Pantry. Accepting the check was Roy Die, president of the organization’s board of directors. Representing the lodge was President Jennifer Cernosek.

Columbia Lodge donated $166 worth of bottled water and Gatorade to the first responders at Dallas Fire Station No. 3, located just around the corner from the Dallas Lodge Hall. President Bobby Wilbanks, Stevie and Anthony (T-Ray) Wilbanks and Anni and Ean Howe delivered the 1,200 bottles on a Saturday morning. The Wilbanks family’s minivan was loaded past capacity and the axles groaned with relief as the firefighters rolled the load away on their stretchers.

Preparations for Camp 2021 well under way

By IAN BRASSETT Executive Camp Director We are moving into the holiday season. I’d like to take a little bit of time to thank those around me who help make this a wonderful place to work. That includes Vice President of Member Benefits Cecily Kelly and the team at the Home Office as well as Clay Haley and John Sorbel with whom I work on a daily basis.

Hermann Sons Life Camp is an incredible place to work and an incredible place for our junior members. I’m thankful for Skittles, Pamela Nentwich, Roly-Poly and all those who are already helping me prepare for an incredible summer camp experience in 2021.

Preparations for Camp 2021 are well under way!

As a company, we are com-

mitted to providing our junior members an incredible summer camp experience. We all missed camp this past summer.

While we are still uncertain what the COVID-19 world will look like next summer, we have begun the process of preparing a safe, caring environment for our campers.

• We have begun installing hand sanitizer stations in all of

our dorms and buildings.

• We plan to replace the water horses with Igloos around the facility which will make it easier for our campers to fill their provided water bottles.

• We will be scheduling two meal seatings at Riverside. This will reduce the crowding in the Dining Hall by 50 percent and allow our campers a more enjoyable Dining Hall experience. We

will also be serving our campers cafeteria-style.

• We will be increasing the sanitizing of all common spaces in Camp.

• We are currently ahead of schedule with our staffing for 2021.

The staff missed camp as much as the campers this past summer and are eagerly awaiting next summer’s fun.

They have such energy and excitement.

We are super excited about the program we have scheduled for them next summer. It is a great learning and growing program for our 15- and 16-year-old campers.

In addition to the schedule listed below, our CITs will participate in three daily camper activities and in the evening

activities.

It’s a lot of fun for our CITs and the campers who really look up to them and enjoy the precious moments they get to hang out with them.

Committee member Frank Brandon passes at age 72 CORPUS CHRISTI – Frank Brandon, a member of the Member Benefits Committee and a 47year member of Corpus Christi Lodge, passed away Oct. 30 at the age of 72.

Frank served his lodge as outer guard, inner guard, guide and vice president before becoming president in 1986. The lodge presented him with the Humanitarian of the Year Award in 1995.

He became a life insurance agent for Hermann Sons Life in 1989 and served in that capac-

ity until his retirement in 2018.

He was appointed to the Retirement Home Committee by three Grand Presidents serving 20 years. He was a member of the committee during the Home’s centennial celebration in 2016.

In 2017 he was appointed to the first Member Benefits Committee created as a result of the Grand Lodge Convention.

Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Darlette; his mother-in-law, Doris Scholz; and his sister-in-law, Roxey Scholz.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dal and Lora Brandon, and his father-in-law, Lee Roy Scholz.

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Frank graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1966 and the University of Corpus Christi in 1971.

Frank married Darlette Scholz on March 27, 1971.

Frank went to work for Buzbee Brokerage on Nov. 1, 1983.

He remained there through six name changes and retired in 2017 after 34 years of service.

He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church where he ushered, greeted and served on the Stewardship Committee.

Funeral services were held Nov. 5 at St. John Lutheran Church in Robstown. Burial followed at the Hermann Sons Cemetery in Orange Grove.

Pallbearers were Link Davidson, Ray Garcia, Ron Polansky, Kerry Ginn, Paul Hood and DeWayne Hunt.

The family requests memorial donations to St. John Lutheran Church.

Frank Brandon

Services held for former Hochheim-Prairie has new members sales agent Witzsche PRIDDY – Ruth Marie Witzsche, 90, of Priddy, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020.

Ruth joined Hermann Sons Life in 1960 and was a member of Priddy Lodge. She served as an agent for many years.

Ruth was born and raised in Priddy. She met Wilford Witzsche after his return to Pottsville from serving overseas during World War II. They were married and lived in the Priddy area where they worked their farm together. Ruth worked for many years as a wedding dress designer and maker, and later became a beautician serving many of the women in the Priddy-Goldthwaite area.

Ruth is survived by daughters, Darlene Wells and Evelyn Gilchrist; grandson, James Gilchrist; granddaughters, Stephanie Staton, Deborah Harrison and Elizabeth (Beth) Hallum; great-granddaughters, Sabrina Staton and Hadlee Marie Harrison; and great-grandson, Liam

Ruth Marie Witzsche Harrison.

She was preceded in death by husband Wilford Witzsche; great-granddaughter, Bailey Marie Harrison; parents, Edward Rost and Juliana Bertha Kunkel Rost; and brothers, Clarence Rost, Edward Rost and Walter Rost.

Services were held Oct. 23 at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Mills County near Priddy.

Heartland Funeral Home in Comanche was in charge of arrangements.

Bexar cancels holiday party SAN ANTONIO – Bexar Lodge officers have decided to cancel the annual Christmas party due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Siemering collecting items for veterans SAN ANTONIO – Siemering Lodge has lost several members and social members in the past few months.

They include Frances Hillje Bara of Vineta Lodge, Elizabeth Markell of Louise Schuetze Lodge, Elizabeth’s sister, Beverly Leverett, who passed away from COVID-19 and Henry Gembler.

The Markell family would like everyone to be aware that the

South Texas Blood and Tissue Bank is in dire need of blood and blood products. This need will only get worse as the holidays get closer due to the shortage of donors.

Cherry Lee is working through health issues following a severe fall and could use everyone’s prayers.

Members have received donations, which helped them create blankets, winter hats and

stuffed animals to tuck in little pockets. They are looking for donations of jackets, sweaters, gloves and socks to pass on to both men and women veterans.

Cibolo Lodge will hold Christmas social on Dec. 12 CIBOLO – It’s been a while and it’s looking like it will be even longer before Cibolo Lodge can resume meetings.

The lodge’s officers met Sunday, Oct. 18, to review the past year and plan for the upcoming year. Once the lodge’s meeting venue can safely allow 20-30 attendees the lodge will hold regular meetings again.

November is usually the month in which officers are elected. The

Macdona donates to S.A. Food Bank MACDONA – The Macdona Lodge officers have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation for months and have decided to cancel the December meeting and Christmas party.

Since most of the lodge’s meetings this year have been cancelled, the lodge will follow the Home Office’s recommendation and keep the cur-

rent officers and committee members through 2021.

The lodge has welcomed two new junior members, Journey R. McDonald and Lyric R. Reber. They are the grandchildren of Mary Ann Schirmer.

The lodge would like to recognize Barbara Schirmer who became a 60-year member this year.

She served the lodge for many years as corresponding secretary.

Members have not met in several months. Due to the rise in

COVID-19 cases and out of concern for members, there will be no meetings for the remainder of 2020.

New Bielau makes donations WEIMAR – New Bielau Lodge has not been meeting due to COVID-19 but the lodge has made three donations.

A donation was made to Parkview Manor in observance of Join Hands Day in May. In observance of Make a Difference Day, a donation was made to the Weimar Food Pantry. A donation also has been made to the Retire-

ment Home Christmas Fund.

Jackson County gives to needy EDNA – The officers of Jackson County Lodge met Oct. 30 to conduct the business of the lodge.

Thank you notes were read from five youth who showed animals in the Jackson County Fair and were sold at the Fair Association auction.

The lodge had previously donated $1,000 to the Fair Association to help with the purchase of animals.

It was agreed to donate $400 to Jackson County Helping Hands to support the needs of the less fortunate in the county. The lodge has made this donation for many years.

Maxine Price was recognized as a 75-year member and a charter member of the lodge.

Richard Kresta was recognized as a 60-year member and a charter member of the lodge.

The officers for 2020 agreed to serve again in 2021.

They are James Fait, president; Sam Matlock, vice president; Janice Fait, secretarytreasurer; and Robert Fait, Nathan Besler and Brooke Belicek, Finance Committee members.

Giddings celebrates October anniversary GIDDINGS – Giddings Lodge members were happy to resume meetings Oct. 8 and to celebrate the lodge’s anniversary.

On Oct. 1, 1892, Hermann Sons Life granted a charter to Giddings Lodge No. 54. There were 13 names on the original charter. Until 1947, all meetings were held in German. On April 23, 1956, Texas Stern No. 71 which was the ladies lodge joined with Oldenburg No. 208

to make a mixed lodge which is now Giddings No. 54.

The present Sons of Hermann building was built in 1966-1967.

It was dedicated May 6, 1968.

There were many events held there including wedding receptions, quinceaneras, Country Music Mondays, games, dances and yearly meetings for organizations and businesses. The hall was sold in January 2018.

It is still being used as an event center.

The lodge’s Blue Santa donation was delivered to the Sheriff’s Office in Giddings and accepted by Officer Jordan Mastronardi.

The Make a Difference Day donation was delivered to Faith Lutheran High School in Warda and accepted by Nikki Kueck, administrator.

The meeting closed with a prayer and everyone enjoyed pizza from Reba’s Restaurant.

McGregor Lodge will meet Dec. 2 McGREGOR – McGregor Lodge will meet Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the McGregor General Store on East Hwy. 84 in McGregor.

Members are asked to bring canned goods for donation to the McGregor Food Pantry. Food and gifts will be provided.

Seguin Lodge cancels meeting, party Seguin Lodge will not hold a December meeting or Christmas party.

A decision on the next meeting will be made in January. The lodge was honored to have three couples celebrate 50-plus years of marriage this year. All couples attend the monthly meetings regularly.

Columbia will retain 2020 officers DALLAS – Columbia Lodge has decided to cancel officer elections this year. In accordance with the recommendation of the Home Office, the 2020 officers will serve through 2021.

For any officer who is unable to fulfill their responsibilities for the 2021 term, President Bobby Wilbanks has the authority to appoint a replacement.

There are two changes to the Home Association representative and trustee body, as noted below.

The officers are President Bobby Wilbanks, Vice President Ean Howe and Secretary/Treasurer Stanley Whitehead. Home Association representatives Lou Simmons and Lynn Bossange are joined by Ean Howe, who is replacing Amanda Hobbs.

The Historian position, which has included inventorying some of the lodge artifacts, has been handled by Ranger Randell Fields and Glenn Marvin.

These positions will continue to be very fluid, and all members are encouraged to come forward with their interest and availability to handle responsibilities as they arise.

In observance of Make a Difference Day, Columbia Lodge donated $166 worth of bottled water and Gatorade to the first responders at Dallas Fire Station No. 3, located just around the corner from the Dallas Hall.

made the delivery of more than 1,200 bottles.

The American Red Cross will be conducting blood drives at the Dallas Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 25, and Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., in the Old Bowling Alley. Officials will be on-site to help make donating safe and easy. Go to redcrossblood.org to make an appointment. The sponsor keyword is “SOHH.” A valid photo ID or Red Cross donor card are required and all donors must wear face coverings while donating. Donors will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies and will be given a long-sleeved Red Cross T-shirt as a thank you gift, courtesy of Suburban Propane.

Members have agreed to donate $500 to a local Christmas toy drive this year.

There will be no Christmas party this year, as the lodge continues to observe safe protocol during high-risk level conditions in Dallas, but members are committed to doing everything they can to make Christmas a little brighter for neighborhood children.

SEGUIN – In light of the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, Laubach Lodge has cancelled its Christmas party that was scheduled for Dec. 13.

The lodge also will not meet in January or February.

The last quarterly meeting was held Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Pecan Museum at the Red Barn.

Gloria Boenig received her 60-year membership pin.

Gloria and husband Allen Boenig celebrated 62 years of

marriage and both celebrated birthdays in September.

The lodge re-elected the same officers for 2021.

Members enjoyed a meal of fried chicken and trimmings with pie for dessert.
