Donations benefit VA Fisher House SAN ANTONIO – More than $34,000 in donations were presented to seven organizations that serve veterans and their families during the annual statewide event held Oct. 26 in Seguin. The theme for the day was “Moving Forward to a Brighter Future.” Lodge officers, agents and committee members were invited to attend along with members of
the Board of Directors and the Home Office staff. The Seguin Coliseum was decorated in a fiesta theme with colorful tablecloths and sombreros filled with chips and salsa. A fajita meal was served prior to the program that included comments from Chair of the Board Sandra Jones, President and CEO Eugene Zollinger and Vice President
of Marketing Tim Kolbe. The highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of the donations. Because the event was scheduled on Make a Difference Day, the Home Office chose this as the time to present the money left in the “Hugs from Home” program when it was See LODGE, Pg. 18
