“Literally the best holiday we have ever had. Hats off and thanks to the wonderful crew.”
Let us take you to places only seen by a few. Where each day is filled with activities designed for you to experience a destination like never before. See other worlds underwater, dining tables where the bush meets the beaches and hear the stories of those who have come before us. But the thing is, you don’t just experience immersive adventure on a True North expedition, you see life differently.
Life’s different after you catch tonight’s dinner. After you fly to your next picnic. After losing reception.
Life’s different after True North.

THE LUXURY THE EXPERIENCE
Luxury on a True North adventure isn’t just defined by our 5 star treatment. It’s also defined by the unforgettable and unique adventure only experienced by a few people in the world. And you’ll be one of them.
True North is a fully immersive experience, where you will see, touch, taste and feel destinations like never before. You’ll have access to the renowned comforts onboard our ships, world class dining and a knowledgeable crew trained to enrich your experience with one-on-one service. However, despite the luxuries onboard, our ships are designed to just be the vehicle to get you to the heart of the wilderness where you’ll experience your real adventure with our crew.
THE SHIPS THE DAY-TO-DAY
Unlike larger ships, True North and True North II are purpose-built to access wilderness. Both vessels provide unique access for you to comfortably engage in activities that cannot be offered on larger ships, like the way our guests experience the Kimberley’s majestic King Cascade. When on True North, you’ll travel up the river sipping champagne and listening to classical music on the ship’s sundeck, before the captain nestles the bow of the vessel under the falls for our famous waterfall shower.
Along with witnessing breathtaking remote destinations, a True North expedition is always filled with snorkeling, diving, fishing, hiking, picnics, natural history, cultural activities or scenic helicopter flights.

THE GROUP
We only take a small group on each expedition so that you’ll receive dedicated service and activities designed for your interests.
THE ADVENTURE BOATS
Each True North expedition has multiple 6 metre runabout adventure boats for guests to do whatever activity they wish, from fishing, snorkeling, diving, sightseeing, hiking and photography.
THE HELICOPTER
Don’t just see breathtaking beauty from the deck, see it from the sky. Our comfortable air-conditioned helicopters gives you an unparalleled way to discover the wilderness on your True North adventure. Usually onboard for the entire expedition, you’ll be able to book the helicopter for personalised excursions like a sunrise or sunset, or even a remote picnic spot.
“You aren’t going to hear anything from me that you haven’t heard from anyone else (I’m guessing). My warning for any prospective traveler with True North is really simple. If you go ahead and book and travel with them, you will be unable to do any other cruise with another provider.
The quality of service, food, attention to detail and of course the amazing itineraries means that you’ll have a hard time finding a comparable experience. Doesn’t really matter whether you book on the True North or True North II - the company ethos of ensuring that the guest/ staff ratio is almost 1:1 combined with the quality of equipment, experience of staff and the focus on excellent produce means that the only difference you’ll experience is the cabin space and available lounging areas.
My advice? It’s like flying business or first class with your family on Singapore Airlines. Once you’ve done it, you’ll have a hard time booking economy again.
Enjoy!”

CULTURAL EXPERIENCES
Let us take you on the True North helicopter to discover a location like never before. See ancient rock art from your seat, glide over impenetrable landscape at sunrise, and land somewhere inaccessible by foot to have lunch with a view seen by only a few in the world. There’s nothing like the birds eye view
Catch your own catch of the day
A True North adventure isn’t complete without knowing how it feels to catch tonight’s dinner. So we invite every guest, no matter their experience, to join us on our adventure boats to fish. From the “never fished” to the “I’ve caught ‘em all” our guides will help find the perfect fishing style for you and take you on an unforgettable trip on one of our adventure boats.
See other worlds underwaters
A spectacular ocean view is one thing, but the magic really lies below the surface. From diving to snorkeling to just taking a dip, come see the ocean from the view of the fish and discover the beauty of the underwater world with your own eyes.
We’ll venture to places with vibrant communities and then to places where only a few live. Either way there’s always something unforgettable about discovering the lives of others and honouring those who have come before. The best nosy neighbours you’ll ever meet

Photos feel different out here
A True North adventure is the perfect platform for professional and specialist photographers to capture something truly spectacular, having access to almost unreachable landscapes and views.
Leaving almost no trace behind
We pride ourselves on our pioneering approach to respecting the wilderness we adventure to. Working closely with the traditional owners of the lands we visit, each True North expedition is carefully designed to leave as little impact as possible. We do this by providing access without the intrusion of roads, having no shore based structures and leaving no trace behind when accessing landscapes in small groups.
“For me there is no better ship than the True North.
It is a small luxury liner with just 18 cabins - serving delicious gourmet food and wine with a staff of 22 young and extremely efficient crew members. It is a top class operation whether you enjoy hiking through wilderness with their biologists, admiring the plants and birds or fishing for giant barramundi. Cruising along the Kimberley coast on the True North is the trip of a lifetime.”

“Spectacular! The excursions were beyond our expectations, the food was divine and the True North crew made us feel like family. Overall, I rank the True North experience as one of the best holidays I have ever had. We will be bringing our family along on one of their other cruises in the near future as I think it is a perfect family bonding experience.”

OCEAN CLASS
“The True North is a superb luxury cruising experience. The casual but elegant atmosphere on board, coupled with the utterly charming and hospitable personalities of the crew, lend the entire ship experience a sense of personal character that becomes as valuable as the destination visited. But it’s the crew I met on both True North experiences that is perhaps what sets the travel experience apart the most from other small cruise experiences that I have experienced.
Their clear love of the destinations visited (particularly the Kimberley, which they know so well) practically glows. This truly is an extraordinarily special opportunity to experience Australia’s beautiful sites and its true warmth and character in a manner that would be difficult to duplicate elsewhere. In fact, I find that many weeks after this trip, I am left with a sense of nostalgia, of missing the entire experience of being on the True North – a sensation I have rarely experienced on the numerous trips that I have taken.”
