MUSEO KALON NADAL IS A PROPOSED ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM THAT REMINISCES ABOUT KORONADAL CITY'S PAST. THE MUSEUM'S NARRATIVE IS GROUNDED ON HANDURAWAN; A COMPILATION OF NARRATIVES DERIVED FROM INTENSIVE RESEARCH CONDUCTED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF KORONADAL TO RECORD THE CITY'S EARLY BEGINNINGS UP TO THE POSTJAPANESE OCCUPATION OF THE CITY. THE PROPOSED MUSEUM INTENDS TO TRANSLATE THE HANDURAWAN NARRATIVE INTO ARCHITECTURAL GUIDELINES THAT ENGAGE SENSORY PERCEPTIONS IN LEARNING USING CONTEXTUAL SENSORY DESIGN STRATEGIES TO ADVANCE COMPREHENSION OF THE NARRATIVE APPROACH, VISITORS' LEARNING EXPERIENCE WILL BE ENRICHED BY THE LOCAL CULTURE AND HISTORY. SITE LOCATION
THE SITE IS LOCATED AT BRGY. SANTA CRUZ, CROSSING DIAZ ST., AT THE BACK OF KORONADAL OVERLAND TERMINAL
TRAFFIC ANALYSIS
THE SITE IS FRONTING A PROVINCIAL ROAD THAT EXPERIENCES MODERATE TRAFFIC.
VISTA VIEWS
THE SITE EVACUATION PLAN SHOWS THE POSSIBLE AREAS FOR EVACUATION AND IS INDICATED BY THE GREEN SQUARES.
NOISE ANALYSIS
THE SOUTHEASTERN AND NORTHEASTERN PART OF THE SITE IS VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO NOISE. THE PROVINCIAL ROAD AS WELL AS THE TERMINAL MAY PRODUCE 80 UP TO 100 DB TO THE SITE.

THE SITE EXPERIENCES A WIND FLOW DIRECTION OF NORTH TO SOUTH EAST DIRECTION AND A SUN PATH FROM EAST TO WEST.

FOR THE SITE’S ZONNG, THE FRONT PORTIONOFTHESITECOMPOSEDBY ALTARS OF THE TR-PEOPLE AREA, STATUE OF ALBERT MORROW, MULTI-PURPOSE EXHIBT AREA, BAHAY KUBO EXHIBIT AREA PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR ENTRANCE, DROP-OFF POINTS, PUBLIC PARKING, AND PLAYGROUND IS A PUBLIC ZONE THE NORTHEASTERN PART OF THE SITE IS A SEMI-PRIVATE ZONE THAT INCLUDES THE SCULPTURE GARDEN. THSZONEISINTENDEDTOCONTROL ACCESS FROM THE PUBLIC TO THE PRIVATE ZONE. A PROPOSED OVERLAND TERMINAL
ABOUTTHEPROJECT
THE CONCEPT OF THIS OVERLAND TERMINAL FOCUSES ON ITS SERVICESCAPE DESIGN. ITS INTERIOR EXTERIOR, AMBIENT, DISPLAY, SOCIAL, AND FUNCTIONAL VARIABLES ADHERE TO SAFEGUARD PASSENGERS' EMOTIONS. STRATEGIES THAT GENERATE POSITIVE EMOTIONS ARE ALSO INCORPORATED TO ENSURE THE COMFORT OF THE PASSENGERS. EXAMPLES OF THESE STRATEGIES ARE THE PROVISION OF GREEN SPACES, ATRIUMS, GLASS WALLS, AND WATER FEATURES FOR A NATUREPASSENGER RELATIONSHIP, BETTER WAYFINDING, WIDE WALKWAYS TO AVOID CONGESTION, HIGH CEILINGS, AND EXCLUSION OF PEDESTRIAN WAYS FROM THE SITE'S VEHICULAR PERIMETER ROADS TO PREVENT RISK. THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENTS ARE MORE THAN JUST A TYPICAL BUS TERMINAL. A HOSTEL WHERE BACKPACKERS CAN FIND SERENITY, ENVELOPED WITH REVIVALIST ARCHITECTURE DESIGN, MIXED WITH INDUSTRIAL DESIGN CONCEPTS, AND TOUCHES OF TROPICAL DESIGN.
LOCATED AT JIN PALMA STREET, POBLACION DAVAO CITY, IN FRONT OF PEOPLE`S PARK, THE PROPOSED CASA DE SERENIDAD IS A HOSTEL COMPOSED OF TWELVE ROOMS WITH TOILET & BATH, RECEPTION, STAFF ROOM, WITH TOILET & BATH, A COMMON POWDER ROOM, AND A COMMON LOBBY. A ROOF DECK IS PROVIDED FOR VIEWING, UTILIZING THE BUILDING`S LOCATION.
