SWARCO Advanced Industry Systems’ brand launch continues. EDITORIAL Dear readers, SWARCO Advanced Industry Systems, the new business segment of the SWARCO group, marks the beginning of a new era for this multinational corporation. SWARCO’s micro glass beads are used for road marking systems and also increasingly for a broad range of industrial applications. As SWARCO is one of the world’s leading producers of micro glass beads for lane markings, it has been successfully supplying industry with highgrade glass beads from day one. To meet the constantly rising demand for our products, we are currently setting up a new competence center for glass beads in Amstetten, Austria. This center, which covers 6.4 acres, will focus on research and development in the wide variety of areas where micro glass beads are used. Catering to industry worldwide is one of the main purposes of SWARCO Advanced Industry Systems. Not least in light of the changes in our working situations over the past few months, we can pride ourselves on the successful product launches of SWARCOBLAST and SWARCOFORCE glass beads.
In addition to the “All-Rounder”, the comprehensive launch of the new business segment is rounded out by our image and product brochures. The first press releases were sent to the specialized media, and a new section of the SWARCO website, dedicated to SWARCO Advanced Industry Systems’ main products, was added for industrial clients to consult. The new product brochures reflect our broad offer and provide all key technical data. Completed with logisticsrelated information, all our comprehensive folders are available as hard copies or can be easily downloaded from our website starting now. COMPETENCE CENTER In Amstetten, 51 years after its creation, SWARCO is setting yet another milestone in the company’s history. When in 1969, Manfred Swarovski built a glass bead factory in Amstetten, Austria, he laid the groundwork for a success story “made in Austria”. In five decades, the SWARCO group developed in and from this location, and employs about 3,800 people today. With the construction of the Manfred Swarovski Global Glass Beads Technology Center currently in progress, the multinational corporation is starting a new chapter in the SWARCO story. Innovation in road safety and catering to our industrial clients will be the main focuses of our new competence center.
In order to achieve a “green shift”, every part of society must be reinvented. This paradigm shift is already becoming apparent in the economy. Translucent Joint Sealants In the building materials industry, glass filler beads by SWARCO Advanced Industry Systems are used, among others, in translucent joint sealants, which break light in addition to reflecting it. This enhances the colours of glass mosaics and glass tiles and gives them a shimmering effect. Surface structures compacted with SWARCOFORCE glass filler beads are waterproof and easy to clean.
