Walmer Park goes all out for the festive season Keeping to the sustainability objective to upcycle, reuse and repurpose items we have in our décor stores, director Nicky creative Christodoulou and the team worked their magic to once again deliver show-stopping mall décor. In the Nespresso Court, we have our festive décor feature tree, which was inspired by the diversity, rich culture and colour in Africa. This tree is not only decorated with baubles in a rainbow of colours but also with unique items sourced from African countries: Zimbabwe, Rwanda and South Africa. From hanging African baskets sourced in Rwanda to handmade wooden giraffes, standing tall in between the tree. These giraffes, made by Jo Katsande travelled all the way from Zimbabwe. To finish off the tree, beautiful, beaded proteas and hoopoe birds made by local artist Webster Sevhiyeri add some local colour and flair. This tree is something to be admired. Well-known designer, Jason Kieck, collaborated in making custom African-inspired garments for our infamous mannequins. Which are alongside the feature tree in the Nespresso Court. Further down the mall, in the Edgars Court, we have the Hospice Tree of Light. Lit up with lights, chandeliers, hanging decorations and icicle baubles. This spectacle is in aid St Francis Hospice a registered NPO which has

KFC Add Hope Spreads Joy A generous cheque handover to Khayalethu and Christmas lunch extravaganza In the spirit of giving, Add Hope, KFC, and KFC local franchisee AKM Foods extended its philanthropic reach by presenting a generous cheque of R120 000 to ACVV Khayalethu Child and Youth Care Centre, an organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. KFC’s Add Hope – now in its fourteenth year – found a powerful way to unite staff and customers in the fight against hunger. Relying on the power of a R2 donation being added at KFC tills and contributions from KFC, Add Hope has raised more than half a billion since its inception in 2009 and partners with more than 150 non-profit organisations to feed over 150 000 children every day across the country, helping them learn, grow, and thrive. The funds raised through Add Hope are administered by the KFC Social Responsibility Trust and all proceeds go to non-profit organisations (NPOs) which use these monies to provide children in need — and in some instances, their families — with vital nutrition. ACVV Khayalethu Child and Youth Care Centre in Kragga Kamma, Theescombe has been registered as a children’s home with the Department of Social Development since October 22, 1996. They provide intervention programmes and alternative care for
