DIAGNOSIS

It is hard to treat what you cannot see.

This CBCT clinical case was acquired using the Morita Veraview X800.

This patient experienced intense pain in the upper left maxilla.

Clinical examination revealed no abnormal findings.

A conventional radiograph revealed nothing to explain the patient’s pain. A CBCT scan was taken and the assessment revealed a significant, previously undisclosed extensive root resorption defect on the buccal side of tooth 26. The diagnosis of root resorption could not have been made without CBCT imaging.
