Career services provides assistance to students in all areas of the job search process including: and/or review Career Fairs It is never to early in your education to attend a career fair! Hennepin Technical College (HTC) career fairs are filled with employers looking to hire HTC students and graduates. The career fairs are designed to connect students and graduates to employers within specific program areas. However, many employers recruit from across all majors and train college graduates for a variety of careers. You do not have to be ready to apply for a job to attend a career fair. Career fairs are a great way to start preparing for a future job search by networking with recruiters and learning about upcoming opportunities and requirements. STUDENT LIFE & CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Student Engagement & Student Experience Team
Student Life offers engagement opportunities designed so you can come when you can and leave when you need to! The Student Life staff organizes these activities along with the Student Experience Team. The Student Experience Team is a group of select students who are dedicated to positively representing Hennepin Technical College as peer mentors and assist in the planning and execution of campus activities and events. The Student Experience Team puts on weekly events throughout each semester. Staff organize larger events such as Disc Golf, What’s Poppin’? Welcome Week, Be Healthy HTC, Grad Madness, and many more!
Student Senate, Clubs & Organizations
Student Senate is the official representation of student voices at Hennepin Technical College. All students are encouraged to attend Student Senate meetings. Student Senate meetings are open to every student and are held alternately on Wednesdays at noon (except during breaks and in the summer). The Student Senate office is located in F121 (inside the Student Life and Career Center) on each campus. HTC also has a number of clubs for students to join. Health Programming
A 2017 recipient of The White House Healthy Campus, healthy living is an important aspect to campus life. Fitness Center, health insurance education, sexual assault education, and connections to community resources are all part of the focus on healthy living at HTC.

Keys to Success
A Leadership for Life Series
Communication and professionalism are top leadership skills that employers want to see in HTC grads. The Keys to Success - A Leadership for Life series covers a wide range of topics that will support your growth and success in these areas. More information about the one hour workshops can be found on the website.

Disc Golf Courses
Each campus has a unique disc golf course available for student and public use. Maps and rules are available on our website. HTC students are able to check out discs out from the library.

Student Life and Career Center Services
The Student Life and Career Center is located in room F120 on each campus and offers students a place to relax, socialize, grab coffee, or study between classes.
In the Student Life and Career Center, you will find Student Experience Team members as a resource as well as the Student Senate office. For more information, visit HennepinTech.edu/slcd.
TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO provides support services for students wanting to complete their associate degree with consideration of continuing their studies. The long term goal of TRIO is to assist students in completion of a bachelor’s degree. The TRIO program is a federally funded college opportunity program. Visit the HTC website for more details about the TRIO Student Support Services program.
Centers for Student Achievement Services
The Centers for Student Achievement provide tutoring to any enrolled student who needs assistance with their coursework and study skills. Technical areas are covered as well as math, writing, and other general education courses.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
The ESOL program leads English language learning students to college level in writing, oral communication, and reading for technical programs. Classes include focus on grammar, accent reduction, and basic computer skills. After completing the ESOL program, students can start a technical program or college level general education courses without any additional developmental courses.
