We are thrilled to welcome you to Henley Festival 2026 - five unforgettable summer nights where music, art, comedy and culture come together in one of the most magical settings in the country, on the banks of the River Thames.
At the heart of the Festival is RISE by Henley Festival. Now in its fifth year, it continues to champion the next generation of talent across the creative industries. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, RISE provides a vital platform for emerging musicians, visual artists, and creative professionals. Through paid work experience and mentorship, we support aspiring backstage crew, lighting and sound technicians, offering handson opportunities in collaboration with leading industry partners.
We are excited to welcome Hemani as Henley Festival’s 2026 Headline Sponsor. Joe Hemani has been an unstinting supporter of Henley Festival for many years and more recently of
our RISE programme. Hemani this year are supporting Henley Festival in its mission to champion and provide work experience opportunities for backstage production crew, as well as our Early RISErs in Playdate @ Henley Festival, our Sunday morning family event.
Working in partnership with local and national colleges, universities and performing arts institutions, RISE enables us to discover new talent from across the UK. Be sure to visit the Audi Presents RISE Music Stage , where tomorrow’s stars perform throughout the week, and explore the Ruby Gallery, home to the finalists of the 2026 RISE Emerging Artist Prize - a vibrant showcase of bold new voices in contemporary visual art.
Henley Festival 2026 also brings an exciting and expansive entertainment programme across the site. From internationally acclaimed performers on our iconic Floating Stage, to latenight headline performances in Pure
Heaven for the very first time, lively jazz in the Paradiso, and vibrant beats in the Bedouin Tent, every corner of the festival offers something new to discover. Our visual arts programme returns in spectacular style, with striking sculpture installations, immersive exhibitions and contemporary collections spread across ten galleries, transforming the Festival grounds into an open-air celebration of creativity.
Laughter is back in the Paradiso with an exciting line-up of stand-up and familiar faces, while every night ends in true Henley Festival fashion with our much-loved fireworks finale lighting up the skies.
Henley Festival would not be possible without the generous support of our Sponsors, Partners, Patrons, Friends and, of course, you - our wonderful audience. Thank you for being part of what makes this Festival so special.

Our heartfelt thanks once again goes to our fabulous Sponsors and Partners! Thank you to the many Sponsors and Partners who continue to support us year on year - we would not be able to stage the wonderful event that is Henley Festival without you. And we are delighted to welcome a number of new Sponsors and Partners to the Henley Festival family.
We are very lucky to have an incredible array of nationwide and local companies who have pledged their support to both Henley Festival and to our RISE programme. Launched to celebrate our 40th Anniversary in 2022, RISE continues to go from strength to strength with many more performance and work experience opportunities being offered to emerging talent in the performing arts this year.
We are thrilled to have Hemani as our new 2026 Headline Sponsor. Joe Hemani has been a long-time supporter of Henley Festival and of our charitable work, and this year his support will be focused on both the Production Work Experience strand of RISE and our Early RISErs programme.
We are also grateful to our Platinum Sponsor, Audi, who are championing RISE music in 2026 with Audi Presents RISE Music, and we have a fantastic line-up of emerging musicians performing throughout the week.
Once again, our thanks and gratitude go to all of our Sponsors and Partners. Henley Festival would not be possible without you!

BY HENLEY FESTIVAL
As part of its commitment to ensuring the preservation of live arts festivals in the future, Henley Festival established the RISE charitable programme. RISE supports emerging talent in the creative industries, offering unique opportunities in production and backstage, on the stage and in the galleries. Set against the unique backdrop of Henley Festival, RISE offers far more than simply a platform. Participants receive invaluable exposure, practical hands-on experience, mentoring and financial support, while building connections with internationally recognised artists, arts professionals and leading production companies. It is a rare opportunity to learn, create and perform within one of the UK’s most distinctive cultural events.

As Conor McLain, 2025 RISE Musician, explains:
“The RISE programme transforms emerging talent into working creatives — opening doors to industry mentors, real performance stages and practical career know-how. By championing diverse voices and giving artists the skills, networks and confidence to thrive, RISE turns potential into sustainable careers.”
At the heart of the Festival site once again this year Audi Presents RISE Music Stage. Positioned even more centrally for 2026, the stage continues to showcase some of the most exciting new musical voices, giving audiences the chance to discover tomorrow’s artists in an intimate and inspiring setting.
Alongside contemporary emerging musicians, this year’s programme also sees classical RISE performers taking to the stage on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings, adding yet another dimension to the breadth of talent supported by the initiative.
For many artists, the opportunity to perform at Henley Festival is a landmark moment. Leila McKenzie, 2025 RISE Musician reflects:

“To be included on the same line-up as such legendary artists was surreal. It is so important for up-and-coming artists to feel heard and valued in the early stages of their career — programmes such as RISE are an integral part of that journey.”
Behind the Scenes sponsored By Hemani Through RISE, aspiring production, lighting and sound students are given the opportunity to work behind the scenes, gaining direct industry experience in the live festival environment. Working alongside professional crews, participants develop practical knowledge that simply cannot be replicated in the classroom, helping them build both confidence and a clearer pathway into the events industry.
As Caitlin Alred, 2025 RISE Lighting Engineer, says:
“RISE was an amazing experience, providing hands-on industry knowledge that helped prepare me for future opportunities in a way university simply could not.”

The RISE by Henley Festival Emerging Artist prize is now in its second year. It acknowledges the importance and talent of aspiring visual artists in the early stages of their professional career.
“I was delighted to be chosen for the Emerging Artist Prize, which has brought significant recognition to my art career. Participating in the RISE by Henley Festival programme has been amazing. The judges and the RISE Programme Team have been very supportive and encouraging. Exhibiting my work at Henley Festival has been a truly exciting experience for an emerging artist. It led to some wonderful new connections, friendships, and encounters with art enthusiasts.”
Curtis Chan, RISE Emerging Artist Prize runner up, 2025
Early RISErs Young Artist Prize Presented by Hemani
Last year, we launched the Early RISErs programme, designed to give local students aged 16–18-yearold hands-on experience in performance and production, with talented young musicians taking to the RISE Stage at Playdate @ Henley Festival on the Sunday morning of the festival. This year, Playdate will also feature the first ever RISE Young Artist Prize presented by Hemani for 5–11-year-olds with the theme ‘My Favourite Place’. The winner will have their work framed and displayed at Playdate.
Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, patrons, partners and Henley Festival audiences, RISE continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact. Each year, more emerging creatives are given access to the funding, mentoring, experience and visibility needed to turn ambition into opportunity.
Launched in May 2026, the RISE Club has been established to support the next generation of creative talent through the RISE programme, offering three levels of membership - Chorus, Sketch and Spotlight. The club helps provide financial support, professional mentoring, industry guidance and performance opportunities, enabling talented individuals to develop their skills, build confidence and progress their creative careers. We invite supporters to join as founding members and help shape its future.
By investing in artists, technicians and makers at the beginning of their journey, RISE is helping to shape not only individual careers, but the future of the creative industries themselves. Henley Festival is proud to play a part in that story, ensuring that the next generation of talent has the chance to be seen, heard and celebrated.

Dance, No One’s Watching is an ode to the sacred, yet joyous act of dancing, an album that musically guides you through a night out in the city, from the opening of possibilities as a new evening spans out ahead, to dawn’s final hours as the night comes to a close.

Directed by wise-cracking MD Pete Long, the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra’s exciting brew of virtuoso ensemble playing with killer solo contributions from across all sections of the band has been delighting jazz fans across the board, from newcomers to regulars. Joining Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra as a very special guest is critically acclaimed songwriter, composer and recording artist Laura Mvula.
We’re delighted to have Laura accompanying the orchestra for a few numbers. With both lyrical and musical composition at her disposal, Laura has performed with orchestras around the world and has composed and arranged for orchestral and choral groups notably creating works for the BBC Proms
and composing music including for RSC’s 2017 production of Anthony and Cleopatra and 2023 Netflix series Everything Now.
Laura’s albums have picked up two Ivor Novello Awards for Best Album, two MOBOs and BRITs nods with all three of her albums being nominated for the Mercury Prize – a rare feat in the award’s history.
Drawing from her lived experiences and observations of life, Laura continues to offer an aural landscape that transports listeners to a world of her creation. A magnificent talent, there is no telling where she will take us next.

The Classical Club is a group of individuals with a passion for classical music and an interest in widening access to it through live performance. The Club was set up in 2018 to enable Henley Festival to continue programming classical music of the highest calibre as part of the Festival.
As a not for profit organisation, the sole aim of Henley Festival is to deliver an event that enables it to continue to offer and achieve its wider charitable goals. Classical music has been an integral part of Henley Festival’s heritage and has an important role to play in the variety of programming in the future. The role of the Classical Club is to raise funds to directly support the orchestra and other performers on the stage.

We are hugely grateful to all the Corporate Members and Friends of Henley Festival whose financial contributions help us to grow the Festival and bring you some of the world’s most exciting artists to perform here in Henley.
With your support, we have been able to develop our charitable initiative, RISE, which provides funding, visibility and mentoring to talented, emerging visual artists, backstage crew, and musicians in the early stages of their creative journey. This year, we celebrate the work of our three RISE Emerging Artist Prize finalists, showcase thirteen up-and-coming singer/songwriters and bands, and give opportunities to aspiring backstage crew members ‘behind the scenes’ in sound, lighting and stage management. This year we have also introduced an Early RISErs section for young local talent. Thank you to all our Friends for your generous support and to our new Friends Sponsor, Widmore Park By Inspired Villages.
