MRS. DOROTHY “DOTTIE” BASHAM
of North Salem, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 26, 2021, a day after her 92nd birthday.

She was born on August 25, 1929 in North Salem, Indiana; a daughter of the late Glen and Lelah (Tomson) Duncan.
She was married to Leonard E. Basham. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2016. They had shared 65 wonderful years together.
Dottie was a graduate of North Salem High School. She and her late husband owned and operated Basham Antiques in North Salem for over forty years.
She was a faithful member of North Salem Christian Church and a member of the Dirty Dozen card club. Dottie enjoyed flea markets and garage sales and could always find a good bargain. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed every moment with her family.
Survivors include: two sons, Jim Basham of North Salem and Mark Basham and wife, Teresa of North Salem; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; lifelong friend, Tinie Kisner of North Salem
In addition to her parents and her husband, Dottie was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Basham.
Funeral Services were held at on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at North Salem Christian Church: 6 N. California Street, North Salem, Indiana.
Visitation was on Wednesday at North Salem Christian Church. Interment followed services at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem.

PATRICIA MILDRED WYNNE
84, of Brownsburg, passed away at her home with family by her side on Sunday morning, August 29, 2021.
She was born in Indianapolis on July 24, 1937, a daughter of the late William Riley and Florence (Green) Marsh.
Pat graduated from High School in Indianapolis. She was employed for many years with Dow Chemicals in Indianapolis in the business administration department. She also volunteered with the Indianapolis Zoo. Pat loved gardening and took great pride in taking care of her lawn. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her dachshunds.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Daniel Earl Wynne, III and wife, Heather of Frankfort, Nicole Diane Patricia Wynne, and fiancé, Austin Nelson of Brownsburg; one sister: Ola Clouser of Louisville, Kentucky; along with several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel E. “Dan” Wynne, II; siblings, Charles “Chuck” March, Betty Marsh and Dorothy Marsh; longtime companion, Patrick Higgins
Funeral Services are planned for 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 2 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Interment will follow services at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana

CLARA E. PICKETT
84, Brownsburg, passed away on August 27, 2021.
She was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. Clara was an excellent cook of German food, an avid gardener, and loved listening to country music.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Pickett and her sisters Barbara (Eugene) Gehlhausen and Catherine (Elmore) Kersteins.
Survivors include son Shawn (Angela) Pickett; daughter Tina Pickett; sister Freda (Ralph) Mehling; sister Leona Gehlhausen; grandchildren Trevor, Megan and Derek Pickett.
There will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
KEITH KOMANIECKI
58, Brownsburg, passed away on June 22, 2021 with his wife, Gwen (Komaniecka), by his side.
He was born on May 31; 1963 and raised in Burbank, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his sister JoAnn Komaniecki and Step-Father Daniel Smithy.
Keith leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Gwen; his mother, Peg Smithy; his brother Steven (Susan) Koman; sister, Christine (Bryan) Robinson, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Keith had a mechanical mind that he used to build his career installing and repairing production and automotive equipment, Kokusai being his last place of employment.
Keith’s younger days were spent playing softball and football he even umpired boys baseball games. He enjoyed traveling to different countries for business and pleasure. These travels gave him a love for amateur photography and adventure. When home he spent his time with his wife, bulldogs and his endless project list. Keith didn’t have children but he was all about family. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Celebration of Keith’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Following the service from 4:30-6:30 p.m., the family will receive guests at the home of Bryan and Christine Robinsons, 671 Summerford Ct. NW, Concord, NC 28027. Food and drinks will be available. BRENDA SUE THOMPSON
of Coatesville, passed away August 27, 2021.
She was born in Greencastle on March 13, 1960 and was the daughter of Claude and Shirley (Coffey) Thompson.
Brenda leaves behind a daughter, Jannifer (David) Hodge; a son, Carlos (Cara) Bumgardner; grandchildren, Jaxon Hodge, Kaley Hodge, Carson Bumgardner, and Carlee Bumgardner; her parents Claude and Shirley Thompson; siblings Debbie (Mark) Cooksey, Danny (Debbie) Thompson, Stephen Thompson, Bobby (Tara) Thompson, Matt (Nicki) Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kylee Hodge.
She was a quiet person who loved her family and her cats.
Visitation will be held 11 am to 1 pm Thursday, September 2, with service at 1 p.m. at the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville.

JEFFREY M. “JEFF” HERSHBERGER
54, of Avon, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 29, 2021, in Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 in Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 4396 E. Main St., Avon, Ind. Burial will follow in the K. of P. Cemetery at Lizton, Ind. Visitation will also take place in the church, Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4 - 7 p.m.
Jeff was born in Trenton, N.J., the adopted son of the late Edwin Hershberger and his mother, Eunice (Stayrook) Hershberger of Danville. He was a graduate of Danville High School with the class of 1986. Jeff enjoyed athletics, participating in both varsity football and basketball. He received an associates degree in areo mechanics from Vincennes University in 1988. Jeff later married his sweetheart, Julie McClain, on May 6, 1989.
He worked as an airplane mechanic for Rhoades Aviation in Columbus, Ind., and later for Eastern Airlines in Atlanta, Ga.
Jeff was a member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in Avon, and had been active in the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors, along with his mother, Eunice, include his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Julie; children, Jordan Hershberger of Avon, Adriana Hershberger of Grundy, Va.; grandson, Zane Hershberger; sister, Diana Hershberger of North Carolina; brothers, Tom Hershberger of Danville, and Dennis (Dawn) Hershberger of Indianapolis.

RON L. HUTCHESON
83, Plainfield, passed away peacefully at home August 30, 2021.
Ron was born December 18, 1937, in Brazil, Indiana, to the late Kenneth “Tom” and Thelma (Wyndham) Hutcheson.
Ron graduated from Reelsville High School, where he excelled in basketball, baseball, and track. He was a devoted employee at IBM for 37 years and retired in 1991. Ron enjoyed traveling, especially out west and to Gatlinburg, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, and eating out. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and looked forward to their visits. Ron’s memory will be cherished by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gereld and Jim Hutcheson.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Jenny (Langdon) Hutcheson, to whom he was united in marriage June 27, 1979; children, Robin Hutcheson, Rod Hutcheson, and Amanda (Christopher)LoIudice; grandchildren, Chase (Ashley), Melissa, Tiffany, James, and Claire; five great grandchildren.
According to Ron’s wishes, cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory. CATHERINE (Sciarrotta) HAZELETT
77, of Danville entered through the gates of Heaven on Monday, August 23, at 4:46 a.m. in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Cathy had been battling stage 4 breast and bone cancer since 2012.
Cathy was born on August 15, 1944 in Detroit, Mich. to Giovanni and Isabelle Sciarrotta. She married Richard Thomas Hazelett on July 15, 1967 and is survived by he and their five children: Stacie (Craig) Campbell, Brian, Steven (Francesca), Nicole (Allen) Hufford, and Thomas (Nicole); her grandchildren Veronica, Logan, Ricky, Lucy, and Emily; her siblings Rosetta Raffin (Bruno), Rosie (Fred) Cansiani, Anthony (Virginia) Sciarrotta and Teresa (Bruce) Lardner; her sister in-law Anita (Allen) Mattson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She lived life every day to the end, loved being with family, traveling with her husband, and was an incredible nurse for over 40 years. She retired from the ICU at Hendricks Regional Hospital in 2007. She was known for her comfort and understanding of others as well as her remarkable sense of humor. All anyone ever felt from her was love and care.
A Celebration of Life event and a Nursing Honor Guard ceremony took place at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville, on Tuesday, August 24. A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Thursday, August 26, also at Mary Queen of Peace.
DANIEL J. GRUBBS
63, Brownsburg, passed away August 20, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.
He worked in warehouse logistics for Endangered Species Chocolate Company for many years. He was a 1976 graduate of Northwest High School.
Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the most proud and loving grandfather to his amazing grandchildren Mia and Ryan,
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mitzi Grubbs; sisters Kathy Ping, Vicki Hill; brothers Steve and Jay Grubbs.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Grubbs; children Lucianne (Andrew) Forgey, Nicole Hendrix, Robert (Nicole) Hendrix; sister Laura (Eddie) Swails; grandchildren Mia Forgey and Ryan Forgey; niece Tamara (Steve) Beck; and many other loving nieces and nephews. Services were Wednesday, August 25 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
BRENT A. DAYHARSH
56, of Coatesville, passed away unexpectedly at his home, early Sunday morning, August 29, 2021. Private meorial services will be held at a later date by his family.
Brent was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Gerald A. Dayharsh, and his mother, Marie (Coultes) Dayharsh of Clermont, Fla. He graduated from Schoolcraft, Mich., High School with the class of 1983. Brent later received a BS Degree from Texas A&M University,as well as a Masters Degree in hydrogeology from Western Michigan University. He had been director of technology services for Mundell & Associates Environmental Agency in Indianapolis for the past eight years prior to his retirement due to health reasons.
Brent was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Brownsburg.
Survivors, along with his mother, include his loving wife of 21 yeares, Andrea (Harmon), four daughters, Natalie, attending the University of Findlay in Ohio, Cassie, Daniella, an Evelyn Dayhars, at home; a brother, Gerald (Tami) Dayharsh of Celebratrion, Fla.; and a sister, Stacy (Timothy) Loeser, of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
Brent was preceded in death by two sons, Parker and Brandon Dayharsh.

BETTY L. BARLOW YATES
91, of Strasburg, Virginia, died Friday, August, 20, 2021, at the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal, Virginia.
She was born July 08, 1930, in Plainfield, Indiana,to the late Russell H. Barlow and Esther R. Trusty Barlow.
She was a 1948 graduate of Plainfield High School and attended Ball State University.
Betty was the owner/operator of Charlie’s Pizzarena in Front Royal. She had worked at Warren County, Va., High School in the cafeteria.
Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing Bingo, reading and solving word puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbnd, Charles Yates, Jr.
Surviving are two sons, Michael D. Moss (Ty) of Chesapeake Beach, Md. and Charles Yates III (Catherine) of Strasburg, Va.; three sisters, Janaice May Alger of Plainfield, Ind., Jane Robert Headrick of Noblesville, Ind. and Jean Rosetta Kelly-Beasley of Avon, Ind.; two grandchildren, Amanda Marie Thomas (Mark) and their children, Abigail and Annalee of Strasburg, Va., and Victoria Lynn Yates (Mitch) of Stephens City, Va.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, at Panorama Memorial Gardens, Warren County, Virginia, with Pastor Jay Ahlemann officiating.
TED E. ANDREWS
passed away August 21, 2021, 67, at his home in Avon.
He was born in Bedford, Indiana December 15, 1953.
He is survived by his two sons, Neil and Kevin Andrews and his brother Brad Andrews. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
PEARL E. MARTIN HICKEY
100, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away very peacefully on August 29, 2021 in the Memory Care Unit of The Harrison Senior Living Community.
She was born on April 16, 1921 in Emmett, Idaho, to the late Merrill and Myrtle (Robertson) Robinson. Pearl married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert Martin on May 03, 1941 in Nampa, Idaho, and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1970. She later married Earl Hickey and he also preceded her in death on October 15, 2001.
Pearl was a homemaker and also worked in the yardage department at The Merc Department Store in Nampa, Idaho. She was well known for the pies she baked and served at the snack bar in The Merc. Pearl also made very beautiful hand embroidered baby quilts over the years. She and her husband, Gilbert (Gib), were avid bow hunters and attended many archery events. Pearl lived in Nampa for 86 years before relocating to Surprise, Ariz. and later to Indianapolis, Indiana to be near her daughter, Judy. She managed to survive getting Covid-19 in 2020 at age 99. Her biggest goal in life was to live to be 100 which she accomplished in April 2021.
Survivors include her son, Duane E. Martin; daughter, Judy K. Cash; 4 grandchildren, Trista Caster, Harrison Cash, Dustin and Doug Martin; and 6 great-grandchildren, Tanner and Madison Caster, Wyatt Whitaker, Evelyn Cash, Noah and Mason Martin as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husbands, siblings, Richard and Harold Robinson and son-in-law, Gregory Cash, preceded her in death.
Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements. She will be buried at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, Idaho with her husband Gilbert Martin. A Memorial luncheon will be held in April of 2022 in Nampa, Idaho. Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
