He is survived by siblings Mike Vaughn (Linda) of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Judy Northern (Terry) of Pittsboro, and Tim Vaughn (Christina) of St. Augustine, Fla.
Scott began racing go carts at a young age and on any typical Sunday the entire Vaughn family would spend the day at the track. He went on to race SCCA Formula Fords (F-4), a hobby that continued through the early 90’s. A severe crash ended his driving career but not his love of racing.

He was a bio-medical engineer for Community Hospital for more than 20 years and ended his career working for the Dialysis Center of Indiana.
Scott was always willing to help a co-worker or friend with any mechanical issues they had with their vehicles. His endless love of all animals never left a stray cat without a home. The fattest squirrels and rabbits in the neighborhood were always in Scott’s backyard. When medical conditions prevented Scott from driving he began walking to a local restaurant, Flap Jacks. It was there that he found an extended family that would call and check on him in the rare event he didn’t show up for breakfast. Scott deeply valued his daytime caregiver, Jackie Chandler, who became part of his extended family.
Graveside services took place Wednesday, March 24, at Brownsburg Cemetery, where Scott was buried next to his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Humane Society at www.hendrickshumane.org or Misty Eyes Animal Center at www.mistyeyes.org ___________________________________________________

JOHN H. ANDER- SON, 70, passed away on March 18, 2021.
The story of John H. Anderson started on May 17, 1950 in a small town called Guymon, Oklahoma. While enduring a childhood full of challenge and change, John soon found respite on the family farm of his adopted parents, Benjamin and Dorotha Anderson. These early years and his time in the U.S. Marines where he served two tours in Vietnam, formed the basis for his tireless work ethic and incredibly giving heart.
Through the years, John had many adventures, from starting AMS Production Machining, Inc. from a table in his garage to becoming the patriarch of an ever-growing family. He was a kind man who made everyone feel important and gave freely.
John was involved in his community where he served several years on the Plainfield Police board of commissioners and was a founding member of the Hendricks County Community Foundation.
He was fiercely loyal and devoted to his family, from the late Benjamin and Dorotha to his surviving wife Debbie Anderson, sister Donna McGuyre and children Judd Meyer, Benjamin C. Anderson (wife Constance), Russell Meyer, and John Colby Anderson (wife Marci). He loved being a PaPa and spending time with 11 grandchildren brought joy to his life and put a gleam in his eye.
The world lost a good one on March 18th when John passed, and he will be missed by his family and the community. In typical John fashion, it was his adamant wish that a funeral not be held, but the family will hold a private service at a later date. If you would like to pay your respects, please donate to Strides to Success in Plainfield or Plainfield LEO Family Foundation in memoriam of his incredible life. These funds can be reached through the Hendricks County Community Foundation.
