FIRE PREVENTION NIGHT RESULTS

Summary
Most Fire Prevention Night event attendees could be described as families with young children, and most comments responding to this exercise were written by elementary school-age youth.
All results were related to parks and recreation and public safety. Many apply primarily to Hempfield Park. The results for both the Comprehensive Plan and Hempfield Park Master Plan reflect the youth and young family participation – an important component of public engagement that is not typically captured in the public meeting format.


Comprehensive Plan: Blue Sky Exercise
Fire Prevention Night attendees were invited to comment on all Comprehensive Plan topics (including housing, transportation, infrastructure, parks and recreation, trails, open space, community facilities, and economic development) under the prompt “My vision for Hempfield Township in 10 years is…”
