WHY USE HEMP IN BUILDING?

Hurd for Hempcrete is considered a carbon sequesterer, meaning that it absorbs more carbon than it emits in its production and, at the end of its useful life, it can be returned to the environment, degrading naturally.

For wall construction, the specialized formulation of hemp hurd, lime and water mix can be laid out as non-structural blocks, sprayed, or poured into linear shapes, in the same way as mud walls. Hurd for Hempcrete has excellent thermo-acoustic properties, helps regulate indoor temperature and humidity, and is resistant to mold.

Our premium hurd is for high-performance Hurd for Hempcrete and is clean, dust-free and sizespecified to 1/8” to 3/4”.
