Pros And Disadvantages Of Summer Vacation
Summer Vacation Sept. 14, 2017 Summer break is one of the very few things teachers and students look forward to, so is it fair to have it cut short and will it be a disadvantage? For starters, when students start their vacation, the first two things in their mind is; no more sleeping early, and video games, which both of those will occupy them for at least half of the summer, if not more. In some countries like China and Germany, Summer breaks last around 6 weeks and those countries tend to have higher IQ marks with Germany having a total average IQ score of 102 and China with 105. In the end, children will still have to review what they've learned over the past few school years when they get back to school, so basically, having more yet shorter breaks during the school year is more convenient and less time will be wasted for not only students, but teachers and principals too. In conclusion, the logical answer is; summer vacation should last for only about 6 weeks as it will help students more than playing video games and watching TV. Summer vacation is labelled a time in between two school years in which you may take a break from studying and focus on sports... well expected to focus on sports and extra summer activities, but 2 months is quite a long time to be away from school considering only 1 in 10 students will study and review what they have learned over the previous school years and more. For example, Pabla Amandeep, 13, says if she weren't in school she'd just be

Should Kids Have a Summer Break?
We shouldn't have to go to year–round school one reason is there is too much stress in the schools can cause things bad to happen. Also you it will mess up yours and other people's schedules. Furthermore, you can do other educational activities while going through the summer to remember what you were taught in the past year, for example, you can print out math sheets to work on (what you learned in the past year) to work on.
The first reason why kids should have summer break is, because it messes up the schedule of other schools and the people around you. According to Jaclyn Zubrzycki, if you spend too much time in the classroom you...show more content...
According to (Mass Literacy) you can read books and take a quiz to increase your memory. You can also print math worksheets of the internet. According to (Great! Schools) you can create a little building to increase math. Another reason is you can act out plays without the script to increase your memory. You can use math in the real world by for example going to the store with your family and help them figure out the cost or you can build with your family to use fractions and measurements of the wood or whatever you're building with. You can also do flash cards to remember. One reason we should have year–round school is, there wouldn't be an overflowing class room, because according to (Screenflex) there would be four different tracks. When one track is on vacation the other three will still be working in school. While this is happening the classrooms won't be so packed so you don't have to bring in extra chairs or desk. Another example is kids will be able to focus better if there are less kids in a classroom because they won't be surrounded by other kids so they won't talk. Some kids might still talk, but most of them will more work
The summer i had was amazing. I did so many different things. I went to camp, went to USA, and went to the beach. I had so much fun. I just hope next summer is as exciting as this one. First of all I went to my camp with tons of my friends. (name of camp) was so much fun! I spent money on ______ and me and my friends did so much different things. The only problem is that i had to wake up early. That was a bummer. Secondly i went to USA. I woke up early, and took a long bus ride. That wasnt that fun. But i went to really nice places. (list a couple places and explain part of it) Last, i went to the beach with my family. I got a great tan! I love just sitting in the sand and soaking up the sun. I relaxed and it was really fun spending it...show more content...
Not to say there weren't any warm memories from those summer beach retreats. Surprisingly there are many, but at 16 you kind of gravitate towards the bad stuff. The melancholy teenager hanging on to anything to give her a thick wall to build around herself. Yes, I would have written something light and clever and given it a really zingy title. I was well known for my zingy titles. Instead Mrs. Lampo asked us to write not one silly essay but a collection of private personal ones. I believe it was called a "me book". I cringed as she described the assignment. Now, as a teacher I can see what she was trying to do. She wanted to get to know us. Who we were, what we liked, how we wrote, how to reach us. The problem was, I was 16 and she was one of them. A grown up. A teacher. A mom of a kid in our class. She was not to be trusted. How could I write all these essays on who I was, my strongest influences, the things I was most proud of etc.. Maybe later in the year. Maybe by April or something when we had a chance to feel each other out. Not now. Not the first week. I can picture her clearly. She was about my mom's age. Short, with short dark hair. She was always very smartly dressed, much more stylish than my mom and with her toes perfectly pedicured. She always seemed a bit shifty to me. She had this large mole on her face that I couldn't help but stare at as she lectured. It was about the size of a dime and I swear it got bigger as the year went on. It has made

Some schools have their year set up for almost an all year round type of deal, but there are some schools that have that big summer vacation. The difference between the two is the all year round you still get a summer vacation but only a month because through the school year you get breaks all the time and they are long. Whether the traditional one you have a longsummer vacation because you do not get a lot of breaks during the school year, you get breaks but not for very long. I do not care as much as others because no matter what you are getting almost the same amount of days off just during different times and I actually like the fact that you get long breaks during the school year and then get a month off and that it honestly not as bad...show more content...
If they had the balanced my doing summer school would take up my whole summer vacation, whether with the traditional one I have a month and something weeks of summer vacation, I will not be completely filled with school literally all year round. I mean it is a good thing because then I will actually do better in school, but I just do not like how short the summer is. I like the fact that it will make the school year go by fast because we will not get piled on with work constantly we actually get breaks between it all. The traditional school year I do not like how many days we go straight through the school year, because then we do not really have time to do fun things with our family during certain seasons we are in school. I get why they would want to go back to the balanced calendar because not many teenagers and children are working on the farms, but there are some teenagers out there that are trying to get jobs during the summer to actually grow up and show that they are
