PRIORITIZING SAFETY AT H&P:
A CULTURE THAT GOES BEYOND COMPLIANCE Safety always comes first at H&P. You could say it’s in our DNA. It’s more than checking a compliance box. We have a dedicated culture of safety that is at the heart of everything we do, day in and day out. We believe every action has a reaction and it’s our responsibility to do better — for each other, our customers and the communities that count on us. We think big. And we turn that vision into reality by setting measurable goals to control and remove exposures. That’s why we introduced H&P’s 2024 Actively C.A.R.E.™ Goals in October.
LifeBelts Assurance • Implement an assurance process that includes Success Checks and in-person workshops to effectively evaluate the effectiveness of the LifeBelts program; ensuring that they are well understood and consistently followed by all stakeholders.
Safety Goal Reduce the rate of Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) potential (non-mitigated) incidents involving a LifeBelts breakdown by 10%. Integrated Performance Tools • Create an integrated Pre-Job Planning (PJP) tool that will provide a single tool for rig crews to improve total performance. Reduction of Energy Exposures • Improve H&P’s energy isolation and barrier systems to identify exposures where crews are not currently enabled and provide resources that effectively control these energy sources.
Long-Term Goal Pro-active management of third-party exposures (people, equipment and processes) to keep everyone safe.
Environmental Goals Emissions-Focused Goal • Maintain normalized Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) from FY23 performance. Spill-Focused Goal • Reduce the volume of spills/1,000 feet drilled by 15%.
Safety doesn’t take a day off. As we celebrate the progress made in 2023 and focus on meaningful improvements, thank you for working together to hold ourselves to a higher standard. From the field to the office, we couldn’t do it without you!

REVOLUTIONIZING THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY:
AUTOMATING THE DRILLING PROCESS A s the world rapidly embraces gains in technological innovation and sustainability, the oil and gas industry is no exception. Automation is a game-changer, leading to significant step changes. Taking a closer look at how automation is revolutionizing the oil and gas drilling process reveals a safer, more efficient and more environmentally responsible energy industry than ever before.
The Automation Evolution Automation within the oil and gas industry is evolving rapidly. Historically, drilling operations involved intense physical and mental labor with rigorous supervision. Advancements in technology, computing power and data analytics have drastically changed which provides for safer and more enjoyable career opportunities in drilling operations. Autopilot … on a Drilling Rig? The industry has multiple paths for incorporating automation. One noticeable example is the transition from the edriller system to an autodriller system. Think of the autopilot function used on an airplane — the autopilot incorporates advanced electronic and digital technologies into flight operations, while still requiring a pilot in the cockpit. An edriller system does the same for drilling wells, with a driller standing by in a “cockpit” called the driller’s cabin. Taking the edriller a step further in innovation, an autodriller system is responsible for also automating certain aspects of the drilling process, requiring even less human intervention. H&P’s model-based autodriller, Autodriller Pro, promptly responds to many problems that occur while drilling, commonly called “disruptions,” with a focus on an increased rate of penetration (drilling faster). This also prolongs the life of the drill bit, which is much larger and more expensive than what you would buy at a hardware store. Making the process of drilling a well more predictable and consistent allows for better planning of operations, called well programs, which can take years to complete. A 20% increase in the rate of penetration (drilling the well 20% faster) can have a significant impact on a budget and schedule.
8 Enterprise • 2023 Issue
Rig Floor Automation Another exciting example of innovation is Rig Floor Automation. The rig floor is an area on a drilling rig where the fast-paced task of connecting long sections of drillpipe occurs as the well is drilled deep below the earth’s surface. Equipment on the rig floor has enough power to maneuver long strings of drillpipe, weighing thousands of pounds, from the ground up to the rig floor, making it the center of well operations and activity. Automating equipment on the rig floor creates consistency through process automation and removes physical labor. Consistency leads to optimization opportunities as well as safety and environmental benefits.
A HexGripTM on an H&P rig floor.
Recently H&P announced the release of the Rig Floor Automation package which includes, the HexGrip™ 120 automated floor wrench™ — the industry’s premiere high-torque solution for the unconventional drilling market combined with the newly released Retractable Slip Lifters and traction control floor mats to create one cohesive solution. Fitted with sensors and data collection capabilities, the system adapts processes to sustain ideal results when changes occur, such as a change in drillpipe connection. H&P’s Rig Floor Automation generates ample data, identifying patterns and trends tied to processes. Just as with other industries, data collection through digital transformation contributes to informed decision-making. Digital transformation and automation are closely related concepts that often complement each other to drive efficiency,
innovation and competitiveness in various industries. This synergy leads to more innovative, efficient, agile and data-driven processes that drive business success in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. Automation’s Impact on Safety and Sustainability One of the most significant advantages of automation in drilling processes is its positive impact on safety and environmental responsibility. Remote drilling control, created by applying the HexGrip, minimizes the need for human presence in potentially hazardous areas on drilling sites. Optimization of the control system correlates to a reduction in risk of accidents and exposure to hazardous conditions. Rig managers from the West district have provided their insights on the observed benefits of the HexGrip 120 wrench on their rigs. “Rig crew members on the floor don’t have to interact with it (the HexGrip 120 wrench) like they do with the ST-80,” Rig Manager Neil Sanson said. “It removes a lot of possible exposures. It is another leap for safety in the field.” The implementation of HexGrip 120 floor wrench exemplifies H&P’s innovative spirit by pushing the boundaries of advancement in operational technology. “It’s been crazy. When I started with H&P, I worked on a Flex 4S-Plus (a part of H&P’s FlexRig® fleet) and on rigs that aren’t even around anymore,” said Brandon Tingle, rig manager on rig 601. “I got to see when we put the ST-80 on the rigs, and now this rig we’re on is testing a new rig floor technology called HexGrip 120 floor wrench. It’s been a game-changer
for my floorhands because they’re not exposed to as much moving equipment, which makes a safer work environment.” As automation optimizes drilling operations, the amount of energy required to produce oil and gas is reduced, as well as carbon emissions. Further gains can be seen when engine management systems reduce excess engine use, which also works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for the power required to drill a well. H&P’s entire FlexRig fleet of rigs can utilize utility grid (also known as high line) power, providing a more efficient option for powering the drilling rig. Looking Toward the Future While automation in the drilling process has great potential, challenges remain. These include cybersecurity risks, the need for a skilled workforce to manage automation systems and a generally skeptical approach to change across the industry. However, H&P leaders are committed to addressing these challenges in different ways. Automation is actively redefining the drilling process. Reducing the need for human intervention makes drilling wells safer, more environmentally friendly and economically viable — all while transforming the roles and tasks of humans on the drilling rig, uncovering new areas for technological innovation. An improved work environment combined with the removal of a physical presence on the rig floor creates opportunities to redefine roles in drilling operations for future generations. As the industry continues to embrace automation technologies, we can expect even greater advances, transforming tomorrow’s world of energy production for the better.

H&P COLOMBIA CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF
INNOVATION AND SUCCESS I
n 1973, H&P, a prominent player in the oil and gas industry, embarked on an ambitious journey of exploration and expansion into foreign territories. Their destination was Colombia, where a dedicated international crew set out to establish a lasting presence and make substantial local investments. Fast forward half a century, H&P Colombia stands as a testament to relentless dedication and innovation. This time, it’s a local team that has stepped up to carry on the legacy of their innovative beginnings, fostering growth, expansion and progress.
“Our ongoing focus in Colombia has been to align our efforts seamlessly, a objective that has become more pronounced in recent years,” Quintero shares. “Over the past decade, our Colombian team has achieved remarkable cohesion, both as a local unit and as an integral part of our global operations. The catalyst for this transformation was the COVID-19 pandemic, which, despite its challenges, opened a new era of virtual connectivity. This connectivity has enabled our operations to remain closely linked with our U.S. headquarters and operations around the world.”
Maria Quintero, whose journey with H&P began 18 years ago as a system engineer in the Venezuelan operations, now assumes the role of international IT business partner, overseeing information technology affairs across the company’s global operations.
H&P Colombia’s alignment with the broader company’s strategies has propelled progress across all aspects of its operations within the country. Notable milestones include the adoption of state-of-the-art rig technology, exemplified by H&P’s FlexRig® fleet, which arrived in Colombia in 2008 and revolutionized drilling performance.
10 Enterprise • 2023 Issue
Moreover, the team in Colombia has demonstrated unwavering commitment to anti-corruption and bribery protocols since 2008 significantly enhancing transparency and security in higher-risk operations involving customs, imports and supplier relations in supply chain management. Maria Claudia Gomez currently serves as the office’s secretary of general management and has 30 years of dedicated service to the company. She has watched how the office has evolved through the years. “H&P is a pioneer in technology and overall operations, and as the company evolves each year, so do our local operations,” Gomez said. “H&P’s proactive approach ensures that our office remains updated with procedural changes and technological advancements, bolstering our success in Colombia’s ever-evolving exploration and production landscape. Furthermore, the company actively engages in national and congressional efforts to showcase the caliber of our safety and sustainability practices, which are deeply rooted in H&P’s core values.” Gomez and Quintero agree that H&P’s core values have played a pivotal role in enhancing transparency, security, efficiency, diversity and
inclusion in both local and global operations. These values have led to a significant increase in women’s representation in leadership, engineering, operations and field roles, in addition to H&P’s steadfast commitment to inclusivity by prioritizing Spanish language integration throughout the organization. “When I began my journey with H&P in 1993, our team consisted of American, Canadian and Venezuelan employees leading the company’s efforts in our country,” Gomez said. “Back then, the oil and gas industry had very few women, with only six in Colombia operations. Today, we take pride in our remarkable local team, comprising dedicated and expert Colombians, both men and women, who have proven our capability and determination to further H&P’s enduring legacy and reputation of progress in our country. This achievement is a testament to the strong values and resources that H&P has invested in Colombia and our team’s unwavering commitment to the company’s vision.” As H&P Colombia marks five decades of innovation and success, the future shines bright, guided by the principles of teamwork, dedication and a commitment to excellence.

H&P ARGENTINA CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF
SHAPING A RESPONSIBLE & EFFICIENT ENERGY FUTURE S
tarting as a modest single office in the northern province of Salta, H&P’s Argentina office commemorates 25 years of growing the company’s presence across the entire country. During this time, it has played a pivotal role in advancing Argentina’s energy independence. “We’ve had the tremendous opportunity to contribute greatly to the country’s success,” said Brenden Owen, who began his career with H&P Argentina 15 years ago as an administrative manager and now leads his team as the region’s finance director and controller. “It’s been a learning experience. We’ve always had the support of senior management and have built an excellent team here that has really taken the reigns. It’s a very different operation than when we first started.” Some of those differences include H&P’s advanced technology that has revolutionized the Argentina

office’s ability to expand its reach and improve overall drilling performance. “I’ve been amazed at seeing the innovation that H&P has led and brought to Argentina over the years,” said Jose Luis Bolanos, maintenance supervisor at Neuquén Yard. “I’ve had a front-row seat to see the advancement in technology that H&P has pioneered for nearly 14 years. When I transferred to Argentina’s offices from Venezuela, it was like traveling to the future from the Stone Age. It’s thrilling to know that the company continues to improve the technology to make employees work safer and more efficient.” According to Owen, Bolanos and their team, the Argentina office’s decade-long transformation results from a blend of efforts initiated by H&P’s initial team of expatriates, who modernized the previously informal Argentine organization.
Additionally, the continuous enhancement of quality equipment by the company and the unwavering commitment of Argentine workers, who have progressed from warehouse roles to now leading various departments in the region, have played crucial roles in this evolution. “I’m very proud of the journey that H&P has had in the last 25 years,” said Ana Cristina Cretu, general manager of H&P Buenos Aires office. “We’ve built a local team full of talent and potential over the years. We are truly improving the lives of Argentinians through the work we’re doing.” Cretu, like many who grew up in areas outside of Argentina’s larger cities, recalls a life without consistent access to natural gas and the challenges that come from those limitations. Her life experiences drive her to be a true believer in the work H&P is doing to improve Argentinian’s quality of life, and this passion is one that is shared
by her team, along with a unique perspective of opportunities that foreigners may not quite understand.
We’ve had the tremendous opportunity to contribute greatly to the country’s success. “My own quality of life improved drastically when I moved to Buenos Aires, where natural gas is available everywhere,” said Cretu. “My hope is that we continue to grow and expand to be able to provide energy to more remote areas. We can’t wait to see where the next 25 years take us.”

BRINGING SAFETY TO THE OUTBACK OILFIELDS R
ig 469 stands stark on the Beetaloo Basin. The super-spec FlexRig is now the most powerful drilling rig in Australia. H&P isn’t just supplying the rig … we brought our people and safety standards to the continent to embark on a new expedition with Tamboran Resources. The rig started spudding at the beginning of August and has now stacked due to the monsoon season. Kenneth Arnold is no stranger to working internationally but Australia operations are a new challenge he has been excited to take on. Arnold began his journey with H&P more than a decade ago. He started his career at H&P in May 2010, after a friend’s request sent him down the oilfield path. Arnold began his working career by enlisting in the Marine Corps three days after graduating from high school. “After five years in the Marine Corps, I joined the Jourdanton Volunteer Fire Department in Texas,” Arnold said. “I was also working two jobs and a friend told me about an opportunity with H&P.” Starting as a floorhand on Rig 227, Arnold faced the hard reality of his new role. Despite being in his early 30s, he embraced the challenge and found similarities to the kinship he experienced in the Marine Corps. Charlie Shelton was Arnold’s rig manager and urged him to pursue a motorman position. From there he continued to climb the derrick at H&P. Arnold’s journey with H&P took an international turn when he was offered the opportunity to work in Abu Dhabi. It was a challenging endeavor, but Kenneth Arnold

it allowed him to apply the safety principles he had been preaching in a real-world context. The experience also reinforced the importance of understanding and connecting with people from different backgrounds. Reflecting on his military service, Arnold believes that his time in the Marine Corps provided him with valuable skills for his career in safety. He emphasized the significance of relationships and how they impact both work and personal life. “I really enjoy working with people and helping them see the same things I discovered about myself,” Arnold explained. “Ultimately, no matter how you look at it, people are the key part of the equation.” When asked about what keeps him motivated and committed to his work, Arnold emphasized the atmosphere and sense of camaraderie in the industry. He likened it to the military lifestyle he has missed at times. Moreover, he’s discovered the joy of making a positive impact on others while enjoying the opportunity to learn about different cultures and perspectives. Arnold is no stranger to traveling abroad. During his time in service, he was stationed in Okinawa,
Japan, Egypt and Thailand. Now he’s helping lead the charge of H&P safety culture in Australia. “New employees need to come in with an open mind,” he said. “They must embrace the opportunity to learn as well as share their knowledge out on the rigs.” Australia captivated Arnold with its rich culture and history of the country. He engaged with the locals, asking questions and forming deep connections with them. “It’s refreshing,” Arnold laughs. “I just love talking to the locals and asking them all 101 questions. I’m sure they’re probably tired of me already.” As he reflects on his trek in Australia, Arnold remains committed to his mission of fostering a culture of safety and camaraderie within the oil industry. His advice for those entering the field or working internationally is evident. “They have to be willing to learn just as much as they’re teaching out there,” he said. Arnold inspires others to embrace change and seek opportunities for growth and impact in their own lives and careers.

H&P’S IMPACTFUL PHILANTHROPIC YEAR:
Fostering Community Growth, Supporting Education and Celebrating Milestones Across the Globe
H
&P values active participation in diverse philanthropic initiatives across the communities where we reside and operate. Through diverse community-oriented endeavors, H&P is not just supporting causes but also helping communities feel the energy of positive change and support, fostering a sense of empowerment and progress. Our community-focused corporate contributions target four key areas: STEM Education Health and Human Services Disaster Relief Environmental Sustainability During fiscal 2023, H&P supported more than 90 philanthropic organizations — a 15% increase from fiscal year 2022. From our business offices in Denver, Dallas and Houston to field locations in North Dakota, West Texas, Louisiana and beyond, our local teams worked with local non-profits to grant dollars and donated time within their own communities. This structure ensures the funds we give go to organizations our employees are involved in and passionate about.

Highlights of our initiatives include: Tulsa Area United Way: For many years, our Tulsa headquarters has participated in the Tulsa Area United Way’s campaign. Employees are encouraged to give at any level they feel comfortable and H&P matches all employee gifts 1:1. This year was record-breaking with more than $320,000 raised in total! American Heart Association’s (AHA) Tulsa Heart Walk: The Heart Walk promotes cardiovascular health and allows us to support the well-being of our community while having some fun too! Tulsa area employees and their families (two- and fourlegged!) joined together and walked the one- or three-mile course through downtown to help raise awareness of heart disease. Junior Achievement Inspire: By partnering with Junior Achievement Inspire, we are able to play a role in providing local students with tools and inspiration to support their learning experience. Employees from varying disciplines volunteered their time and knowledge to show area fifth graders what jobs look like at H&P. From engineer to finance and legal to human resources, our teams demonstrated our values and what’s possible in a future at H&P.

K-12 Education: While STEM education has always been a priority at H&P, this was the first year we partnered with DonorsChoose — an organization that pairs the needs of local teachers with funders. This marked a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting education within our communities and furthering our involvement in community development projects. Classrooms across H&P’s footprint were eligible with STEM projects being the top focus. On top of that, our East region supported local schools with donations to two separate area school foundations — helping to ensure the area schools have what they need to build up their communities. Club del Petróleo: As we continue to engage our communities internationally, we celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Club del Petróleo in Argentina. This milestone not only recognized the rich history and achievements of Club del Petróleo, but it also provided an opportunity for H&P to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its presence in Argentina.
Toy and school supply drives: The best community projects come directly from our employees. Teams in our West and East regions both held toy drives that benefited their respective locations. Truckloads of bikes, games, balls, dolls and more were delivered to area organizations during the holiday season. When it came time for school to start last summer, our corporate headquarters and the West region both held school supply drives — sending kids to school with the backpacks, math sets, notebooks and writing utensils needed to start the year off right. Kenetic Kids: Our South region knocked it out of the park this year with donations to a number of important organizations including Kinetic Kids. This organization — whose mission is to enrich the lives of children with special needs … to foster the development of courage, confidence, fitness, pride joy and community — was recommended by an employee who has seen first-hand the benefits of this organization in the community. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2023
CORE VALUE AWARD RECIPIENTS Gonzalez is the recipient of the Innovative Spirit Core Value Award. It is apparent that Gonzalez cares for his coworkers and will go above and beyond for the company. He said, “Here at H&P, my Innovative Spirit is born from being in the maintenance department. We have our customers, rig crews and operation teams — we must fill their needs. We’re the ones that they call when they’re in trouble. We’re the ones that solve the problems, provide the solutions and have that Service Attitude. That’s where Innovative Spirit really comes from because we can’t say no, we need to solve their problems. I like to be part of the solution to everything.”
David Gonzalez Innovative Spirit From South Texas to South America and now to Abu Dhabi, David Gonzalez has been showcasing Innovative Spirit through it all. He has been a part of H&P since January 2011. His dedication to the H&P culture and values shows through his willingness to learn new things every day. Gonzalez started as a field mechanic for H&P in Alice, Texas. During this time, he was searching for a challenge which is when he volunteered to move internationally to Argentina. He now serves as a maintenance superintendent and supervises the field operations in the United Arab Emirates.
Nathan Hursh, regional director of operations, said that Gonzalez, “consistently demonstrated exceptional ingenuity and resourcefulness, going above and beyond to ensure the seamless operation of our rigs despite challenging circumstances.” Gonzalez and his family have experienced a lot of change throughout his career. “During my journey, my wife has been so supportive,” he added. “My family has been so supportive, and this rotation job isn’t easy for families. She has been so strong this entire time and I wouldn’t have made it this far without her.”

my outlook on our policies and procedures. From there, I was offered a rig manager position. While I wouldn’t call my career path normal, I would say it has shaped me into the person I am today.” From seeing many different sides of H&P, Ruch has been guided by different mentors who have impacted and helped him throughout his career. He has been fortunate to work with leaders including Joel Ruark, Brandon Hudson, Justin Moore, Chris Fortune and Jason McNeal.
Anthony Ruch Do The Right Thing Anthony Ruch is a true leader and embodies the core value of Do The Right Thing. Ruch started at H&P in January 2015 breaking out on Rig 543 in East Texas. From the floor to working his way up to operations, he eventually was offered a position on the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team. “I continued to learn about policy and procedure and was able to complete a few SIF (Serious Injury or Fatality) investigations,” Ruch said. “Seeing this process really changed
“These people have always been there to answer questions or have my back when conversations may get hard,” Ruch stated. Upholding Do The Right Thing as a fundamental core value at H&P is crucial for daily life. Ruch proficiently provides operators with strategies to collectively attain shared objectives, striving to instill this culture within his crews. “Even if Do The Right Thing wasn’t a core value of H&P, it would still be Anthony’s,” said Brandon Hudson, drilling superintendent “In every situation that arises if he doesn’t know what the right thing is, he always calls and makes sure whatever decision made is the right one.”
In 2020, the company’s restructuring during the pandemic allowed Corso to join the international team as a general manager. Even in unprecedented times, Corso and his young family made the decision to move from West Texas to Bahrain at the beginning of 2021.
Sean Corso Teamwork The internship program reeled Sean Corso into H&P in 2008, where he started as a floorhand intern. He started full-time working in Tulsa on special projects. Corso transitioned to become a performance engineer and billing analyst before transferring to Pennsylvania as an administrator. He was then relocated to West Texas to step into an operations manager role for three years.

This year, Corso was the recipient of the Teamwork Core Value Award. “While individual contributions vary from person to person, H&P’s outcomes and progression of success are all rooted in the work of teams,” Corso said. “At H&P, teamwork is doing our individual part and embracing the different approaches, ideas and healthy conflict. Routinely recognizing the contributions of teams and individuals to the successes of projects will continue to instill a culture of teamwork.” His colleagues have all witnessed Corso’s unique talents. “Sean is a natural team player,” Jorge Rojas, regional director of Eastern Hemisphere operations, said. “When leading, he acts as a galvanizing agent and after every meeting or interaction, his team grows its cohesiveness. He does that by respecting, caring and making sure everyone involved has been heard. Sean listens to understand and instigate the team to Do The Right Thing.”
“Learning to Actively C.A.R.E. has been a continuous journey throughout my career,” he said. “This award motivates me to continue nurturing a culture of compassion within our organization, where every small act of kindness matters. This passion ultimately benefits our company and customers by delivering cutting-edge solutions and maintaining the highest standards of quality.”
Ronny Golightly Actively C.A.R.E. In 2018, Ronny Golightly commenced his journey at H&P as a senior remote operations engineer, dedicating his attention to remote wellbore quality management and ensuring precise execution of drilling plans. In his five years at H&P, Golightly has held many positions, but he currently serves as the senior project engineer, focusing on driving algorithm development and continuous improvements in our directional automation software. Additionally, he leads the definition of project roadmaps and manages cross-functional teams.
His vast experience in different roles at H&P has taught him the importance of empathy, teamwork and effective communication. The company’s commitment to a supportive work environment has also played a significant role in shaping his Actively C.A.R.E. mindset. Golightly received the Actively C.A.R.E. Core Value Award, showcasing a deep passion for H&P and a strong commitment to Actively C.A.R.E. “Ronny cares for people, whether as a successful football coach of young men, a leader of software engineers on the Bit Guidance System (BGS) software product, as a friend or coworker,” Chad Jackson, director of software engineering, said. “He is truly worthy of recognition for the Core Value Award for Actively C.A.R.E.”
Goforth currently serves as a managing attorney with the legal and administrative teams. Throughout her career at H&P, Lisa has seen the importance of teamwork and collaboration. The H&P Way has made her a better attorney and team player. “Lisa is very deserving of the Service Attitude Core Value Award,” Debra Stockton, vice president and general counsel, said. “She puts others first and always strives to find solutions to meet the needs of both H&P and the customers we serve. She is a great asset to the legal team and H&P.”
Lisa Goforth Service Attitude Only five months into her journey at H&P, Lisa Goforth saw the company go through a significant change when the offices closed due to the pandemic. “It was a really challenging time for everyone, but I saw firsthand how teams across the company rallied in the face of adversity,” she said. “It made me proud to be a part of H&P. Since then, I’ve continued to grow and be challenged by leaders at H&P, including my own boss and mentor, Debra Stockton.”
Goforth emphasized that there truly isn’t a problem or challenge too immense that can’t be overcome by bringing people together, actively listening and collectively devising a creative solution. “I feel extremely humbled and honored to receive this award and am grateful for the opportunity to work with such great teams both in the legal department and within H&P as a whole,” Goforth said. “I am very blessed to be part of such an incredible and exciting company!”

“Dyer is a great leader and is respected by everyone who works with him,” Drilling Superintendent Samuel Green said. “He gives 110% every day and makes sure all his employees know their job tasks. He goes above and beyond to teach employees what he has learned.” His work ethic and determination have been instrumental in his progression to becoming a rig manager. Dyer expressed thanks for the individuals he has encountered and will encounter during his career journey. Raised in a sports-oriented environment, Dyer’s Service Attitude was significantly shaped by his upbringing.
Morgan Dyer Service Attitude Morgan Dyer embarked on his H&P journey in 2012, starting on the rig floors in West Texas. Progressing from operating motors and derricks to drilling, Dyer currently serves as the rig manager of Rig 244. Dyer is the recipient of the Service Attitude Core Value Award. “Having the opportunity to learn and experience various aspects of the job has made me into the leader I am today,” Dyer said. “The best part of this job is working and meeting such a diverse group of people. They truly teach me how to be the best version of myself. I strive to become a better employee every day because of that. “

“This discipline has grown significantly from a young high school kid, to playing semi-pro as an adult,” he reflected. “My coaches have been great mentors and invested in me. With that, I have learned to have a selfless heart and I’m always looking for ways to be intentional in helping others.” “Sometimes you don’t realize the people you are impacting daily, and by receiving this reward it is just a small reminder to keep grinding,” he continued. “What we are doing at H&P is making an immense difference. It is wonderful to not only be recognized but to be able to attend such a great event. Thank you, H&P. This is one of my greatest accomplishments.”
