How To Transcend Your Status-quo and Claim Back Your Highest Life In this frenetically evolving marketplace and volatile world, we could be forgiven for feeling pushed back into our wait-fornormal-to-come-back corners, peering out anxiously to see when might be a wise moment to re-pick up the threads of our highest lives.

It’s understandable. Whatever country we’re in, ‘restrictions’ are being imposed on us across every level of our lives. Chaos, loss, community division, media power moves are the current background to our lives. Now don’t leave…this isn’t about politics or even about the pandemic; it’s about you.

We have to set the stage, though, for you to transcend the horrible dream we keep waking up to at the moment.

For those feeling feisty about global events (whatever your perspective and persuasion), pouring our energies into a debate with our loved ones, or even engaging in too much research has a knock-on effect on our vibrational frequency. And that has a knock-on effect on our evolution into our most abundant and thriving lives. Yep! Every time we go down the rabbit hole of speculation, or even worse, the black hole of fear, we cut ourselves off from connection to Source, Universal Intelligence, Consciousness, or whatever deity you call Divine Mind.

It’s so tempting to watch video after video of socalled ethical scientists or leaders hypothesizing or expounding in persuasive rhetoric. But every time we do so, we dim the lights of our own power as infinite creators.

I’m in the same push-me-pull-you dynamic. It’s been quite destabilising. But the fire in my spirit keeps reminding me that I have more significant work to do. The call in my heart has never been stronger to make a difference. And for me now, I see the most incredible opportunity to grow and break through to a new level. And that is going to take disruption.

Here’s the thing. Transformation is usually slow.

It takes months, years, or even decades. And this pandemic has made me realise that I’m in a hurry. Screw slow.

It’s time for me to disrupt myself.

It’s time to truly listen to the old adage of getting the same results by doing the same things and do ‘em differently! Whatever is not working!

Whatever! Everything has come under scrutiny.

My habits, relationships, aspirations, strategies, even my dreams. Equally under question, my diet, exercise, self-care routines. Diving deeper, I’ve put my values under the spotlight, what I really care about, even my beliefs. Total Disruption.

Open to massive change. Bring it on.

9. Vowed that I will do whatever it takes to step into the highest version of me every day.

commitment to my holistic fulfilment and financial freedom, I’ve transcended the external conditions and the menacing pull down into dream oblivion.

I’ve confirmed to myself and the universe that I am not dependent on ‘conditions’ to thrive but rather am creating the conditions to thrive.

I’m taking my power from the present moment of knowing that everything I desire already exists already in the quantum field; it just requires my attention. Disrupting myself is a way to give that attention.

Like so many change-makers, I have a cause but I know that my personal cause will cause my cause to be an outcome!

As my favourite saying goes, “Show up for your highest life, and your highest self will meet you there.” It takes a disruptive spirit to take that idea and make it real. And it takes courage and immense self-belief. For, wherever you are and whatever you're dealing with,

you simply cannot create new results with the

same thinking and actions that got you to this place.

How do you know something is sustainable when it feels like we're taking risks left, right, and centre? Because that's what we're designed to do, right?

So, how do you know if a business is sustainable?

We all start our businesses in the belief (hopefully) that they will grow and flourish.

Once you're operating at that level as your new normal, if you should slip and start operating accidentally outside of it, if you go back to your old behaviour, the universe gives you a free pass for a little while. Every now and again, you can operate outside of your normal, go back to overwhelm.

Then the universe will actually realign you for free. It will show you an opportunity for you to go choose your normal again. Bless its heart.

This has happened to me in the last couple of days. I've got a normal, sustainable way I do my business. Of course, I do… This is what I teach, this is what I coach, but I have an old way of operating that can trip me up. Maybe you can relate.

on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and you've currently got clients booked in for Mondays and Fridays, reach out to those clients

and ask them if there's any possibility that they

could reschedule for a Tuesday, Wednesday, or

When I have coached businesses on raising their value and price or strategizing to see them sell their work more consistently, I am always amazed at how many shudder at the word marketing or sales. Instead, I have heard many coaches lead with "How to make sales not sleazy."

My question is, why were sales ever sleazy? Are we still stuck with the DoorTo-Door Salesmen in our minds? Or the Used Car Lot Sales Rep? As high-performance entrepreneurs, why are we even putting these characters into our orbit? What do they have to do with what we do?

Dig deep and feel into every part of what makes you, you.

I'll give you an example from my life.

When I was 20, I said to myself, "I want to be a successful artist." My father was a career artist for the Los Angeles Times. So I knew that being an artist and making a living was possible. However, this wasn't the sort of artist I intended to be. Instead, I desired to be in the fine art world.

We are passionate about what we do, and that this is all marketing is—sharing your passion.

My first job at 15 was as a host for a 5star restaurant in my hometown. Run by a celebrity chef and filled with Hollywood elite, I witnessed the Thriving Creative. Not just the actors and directors that I would encounter, but the artists themselves.

Painters, sculptors, architects all came here and were wined, dined, and praised with accolades. Frankly, I was surrounded by success, so I believed and had proof that this was a viable option.

I knew I was creative, and I just needed to find my niche. And that was when hats appeared. But that is a whole other story, and I want to get back to why this above story is essential.

This story is the core of why I do what I do —the "Why" to why I became a career Creative.

So it makes sense to highlight the parts of me that appear in this story regarding my marketing plans. What is natural for me? I am naturally a Host. I have been career-raised with events, celebrations, highlighting the artist, fashion shows, and the like. So it is organic for me to Host Events. (I've also found that a trunk show or highlighted product event is what brings in the effortless yesses.) So bing, bang, BOOM! There I go!

How about you, what is your story? Why do you do what you do?

2. Translate your "Why" into your Marketing Plan.

Once you know your "why," see how this can translate into a bespoke organic marketing plan, what is the best way to get your ideal clients in front of you so you can share why you love what you do?

Seems too easy? That is because it IS! It's easy to market when you market organically. The idea is to keep it all simple, just like I showed you in my example.

Here are some other examples that might help you find your own.

If your business began from a tragedy in your life—a life-changing moment, it's all about your transformation.

You might try doing weekly "shares" via social media "lives". Break down the steps it took for you to shift (one per "live") and let these lead your audience into your product or service.

Reach out to other similar trauma groups and see if you can lead a workshop for them.

Offer a scholarship to one deserving person and show their progress step by step.

Your life experience and ability to overcome, along with your genuine transparency sharing, is your organic marketing plan. You are living proof!

If you started your business because you were missing in your life what is now your product or service, your organic marketing plan might be highlighting those missing links.

The "Before & After" effect is your lead-in, highlighting both of these in your SM posts and emails.

For your emails, pick one aspect and go into detail and highlight the results.

Your enthusiasm for creating a solution for something missing in your life will be the key factor to your organic marketing plan.

Can you see a pattern here?

It's about using you as the vital element to your marketing and using your experience, expertise, and enthusiasm to share your business naturally.

The essential ingredient to all of this is making sure you are truly genuine.

People will resonate when you approach your marketing from a human perspective of just sharing your feelings, insights, and life. They will let their guards down because you have shown up with yours down.

No script. Just you being you.

Here's the third and most crucial step.

Today, I challenge you to consider what you are willing to risk in a whole new way. Taking risks is both subjective and relative. For those of us who are titans of our industry, we scare the oversized, cotton knickers off many women not willing to go commando or embrace the freedoms of delicate lace panties.

This kernel is not for everyone. My lifestyle is about releasing worldly possessions to sail and travel solo around the world, crossing oceans and diving deep into said oceans. My journey is through visions and dark nights of the soul, speaking and writing about subjects that would make even ostriches want to bury their heads deeper into the sands of time.

I'm aware that I make people uncomfortable, and I own it.

As the world's leading publisher and authority coach on social justice and raising awareness to bring higher consciousness in those who are ready to swap merely being an influencer for owning all of who they are, I walk a path many are not willing to walk.

My clients and I go to places in their experience that they have either ignored completely or simply waved at on their way to the next shiny object. Together, we create visions so expansive, layered and complex they end up beautifully simple in their very creation. Aligned with their soul purpose of serving humanity with a profound legacy, one cannot help being stunned by what's possible.

We entrepreneurs are accustomed to creating visions to expand our brands even further than we considered possible, then living them as our new reality. But having a call with a fellow visionary will always bring increased clarity to what's possible and how we can simplify our message.

Becoming an Authority Coach for those wanting to expand on their success and influence came about when I got present with my real life's work. I noticed that there are far too many mediocre books littering the world's bookshelves, and how the world needs to hear our human stories now more than ever.

Amazon has opened the flood gates to offer a plethora of this mediocrity. They have become the litterbin of literature. PR companies pressing entrepreneurs to write 'a book', when they are simply pdf white papers, or workbooks, or a simple pamphlet, which as those of us in the publishing industry will know, kick-started the publishing industry as we know it.

My frustration at what I saw happening in the world of literature and education really ignited a new level of passion in me and an urge to elevate those who genuinely want to make a difference in the world.

Now, let's be honest here; if we are only part of the 'shiny object success hunters' and do not use our success and influence to change the world on a fundamental level, what are we even doing? Are we even awake to what is actually possible? I say no, we are not.

We have a duty, a responsibility and an obligation to harness our life experiences, our wealth in all its guises, to bring everyone we can up out of the trenches to see the beauty of the vistas around the world.

In her latest song, Andre Day puts this so well: "It all means nothing if we stand up for nothing. You can't just talk the talk; you've got to walk the walk.

Take a stand for what is right, it's always worth the fight" (Bloody great song, by the way if you haven't heard it!)

Now, let's be honest here again, shall we? How many

development and business world say, "Reach out, connect with me, let's build each other up" and then when you do, they ignore you, or as soon as you message them, you get a spam fest of yuck offers. A lot of it equates to that 'nasty stuff in the tin' my dad says is only good for fishing with!

Tom Chi, the creator of Google X made a sobering statement several years back that is a powerful wake up call, and I believe one that while it could be deemed as a pessimistic view of our future, I don’t believe that was his intent. He said, “If consciousness does not outpace technology in the next ten years, we are done as a human race.” There are many possible futures for humankind, and I believe he was asking us to CHOOSE. But more than that, I believe he was asking each of us to go within and to recognize how we may be supporting (even unknowingly) the status quo of keeping systems and thinking in place and perpetuating this forecast. I believe he was chiming an alarm that could propel many more of us to do our part to shine a new light, a new way that is so bright, and so attractive, and so illuminating that it flushes out those dark acts, people and systems, so they no longer have a place here.

But how do we do this?

The challenges facing humanity and our planet can feel overwhelming.

They can feel bigger than us. Our negative ego mind or limited programming may try to convince us of “who are you to create change, and with what resources?” How do we rise above those thoughts, and very realistic barriers, like lack of financial capital, know-how and other resources in order to set the world on fire with our purpose and our preeminent piece of the puzzle?

Since 2008 my main work and passion has been to help social entrepreneurs transform their own lives, and grow their visibility, so they can more effectively help transform the world. A social entrepreneur according to Investopedia is defined as a person who pursues novel applications that have the potential to solve community-based problems.

These individuals are willing to take on the risk and effort to create positive changes in society through their initiatives.

As a social entrepreneur, I have faced challenge after challenge to stay true to ideals and not give way to the ‘way of the world.’ One example is about giving back. For many companies and individuals, giving back is an afterthought. It comes after one has already made it, or has enough to sensibly give back.

But the way of Preeminence reveals a more powerful way of serving humanity, and that is to decide that making a difference for others and the planet with our dollars and our time is part of the very fabric of our divine tapestry.

In business we learned to pay the bills first, but biblically we are taught to give to God first, or another way of saying this is to give where we are spiritually fed. When we give our time, money and talent to those who are underserved and to those whose mission is to help heal people and the planet, from the first of our harvest, we are blessed beyond measure. It’s a spiritual or universal law.

Being willing to see that life is full of opportunity to share with others, and to be willing to walk in another person’s shoes, creates the bedrock for a meaningful and fulfilling life!

Without compassion, you may have a lot of fun in your life, but you will be missing out on daily opportunities to expand your heart and increase your spiritual intelligence.

Ghandi said, “The only devils that exist are those running around in our own hearts.” When

we give from a place of compassion, we are giving because “there but for the grace of God go I,” and not from “I feel sorry for you.” Again, there’s that powerful principle of gratitude playing out here as well.

Taking stock of what you have, being grateful for it, and sharing your abundance knowing that could be you who is asking for support. And we know YOU are magical and brilliant.

As we grow we’re also often taught to ignore those signs, we’re told that we must trust our logic, think about what we’re doing or only trust the ‘facts’ or the new one, ‘trust the science’. (Don’t even get me started on that!) As if what someone else says, or has proven to be ‘correct’ is more truthful than ourselves. Who are they to decide what is right or true? Who are you and I to ignore our hearts calling?

When these thoughts or beliefs are drummed into us enough, we stop listening to ourselves, that voice which ALWAYS wants what is best for you. It only ever has intentions for your highest good.

STEP 5 - MANIFEST Now we have fun reprogramming our energy and creating something new. Ideally, hold your hands above your head, palms facing up and repeat three times.

"Your Future Is Green" I couldn't do a 'green' issue of the magazine without a whole food section devoted to green.

Where do we start? Green vegetables are literally a treasure trove of nutrients and phytochemicals.

And as we are also talking about all things ethical and sustainable, know that green food is the future, and green vegetables must be a part of that future. Green vegetables are an inexpensive source of so many essential nutrients, but in addition, their production does not harm the environment as animal production does.

There are endless health benefits associated with green foods, both scientific-based uses and anecdotal ones. Here's the thing: even if you eat a large proportion of fresh veggies, you simply can't get beneficial phytochemicals associated with algae, seaweeds, and grasses from diet alone.

My third fav superfood is Matcha - a powdered green tea with a host of benefits, now very trendy as an ingredient!

If you've never used a green foods powder, start with a green foods blend, and take it on an empty stomach when possible (including a morning smoothie). Also, consider purchasing products made using low-heat processing, which retains more nutrients than other types of powders. With Matcha, shop for lead-free or Japanese Ceremonial grade.

Next comes Moringa. When it comes to moringa benefits, there are almost too many to count! Native to Africa and Asia, the Moringa Tree, or Moringa Oleifera to use its scientific name, is one of the most nutrientrich plants in the world.

It has a delicious spinachy green flavour, perfect for boosting curries, stews, casseroles, soups, salads, green smoothies and more.

Now for some greening up of your menus, busy entrepreneur style!

With the great work we are doing in the world, we owe it to ourselves to make nutrition the holy grail of your highperformance protocols! Nutrition helps us focus better, stay disease and pain-free, focus on our missions and get stuff done!

As I always mention…you can search for any recipe online. My joy is to highlight the seasonal foods that will optimise your vitality and productivity and suggest menu ideas that are easy-peasy and super fast.

Salads: try and Kale and Spinach Ceasar salad with stir-fried tempeh and pine nuts.

Slice in some ripe avocado and dress with plenty of garlicky dressing. Allow to sit for 5 minutes so that the oil 'cooks' and breaks down the kale.

Use large Romaine leaves as spring rolls or wraps, rather than waist-expanding flour wraps, and stuff with any yummy concoction you can dream up. Right now, I am salivating at the thought of shredded lean chicken dressed with lemon, oil, and paprika, tossed with avo or cucumber raita and quinoa. You can also pretty much make a green wrap with anything leftover in the fridge and not feel guilty!

Talking of that summer staple -green beans. If it's glut time, make them the centre of the meal, rather than an addition. They are divine roasted with olive oil shallots and garlic. They pair well with just about any other veggie (any other food come to that!). They are simply scrummy wok-fried or under a velvety tarragon or mushroom sauce.

Last year my excess crop went under a brine to preserve them for a probiotic crisp aperitif dipper and mountains of bean and ginger chutney.

Another summer staple - the courgette/zucchini offers myriad ways to use. I'm loving spiralised strips and simply steamed or grated and tossed in lemon dressing with fresh herbs and roasted sunflower and squash seeds.

Then comes our friend, the cucumber, with its hotsummer cooling qualities. I'm currently blending whole (rinsed) with watermelon for a refreshing and hydrating 'slush' or as part of a green Gazpacho soup (there are some fab ones if you search) topped with shrimp and torn up basil.

Finally, to get more benefits of green into your food, if you don't have a garden, fill a window ledge with herbs in pots and chop straight over your meals when serving!

Whatever you do to green up your summer cuisine, you simply cannot go wrong!

They are sensitive to mood, intention, sound and vibration! You can affect the benefits of your food by blessing it before consuming and visualising it healing and nourishing you to the maximum.

You cannot go wrong getting more green and water-dense foods into your menus!

And remember to chew, chew, chew mindfully - both food and drink! You will feel the benefits in your digestion, your skin and your general energy!

HOW TO TAKE A RETREAT WITHOUT EVEN PACKING Or, how to just take time out to re-centre and renew, right now.

Since time began, we complex humans have understood the need to withdraw regularly from our usual routines and habits, or the company of others.

Communities of spiritual devotees from numerous religious doctrines, prioritize this separation from society, as the only possible living condition on a path to enlightenment. In all cultures, convents, monasteries, temples, sweat lodges, prayer circles, camps, sleepovers, male hunting groups, wise women circles, vision quests, masterminds, clubs and families, our natural rhythm is to flow in and out of a community, while respecting our instinct to get the heck away!

Periodic withdrawal from society or community is vital to keep our psychological and emotional balance. I can hear you saying a "hell-yeah!" to that!

Equipped with a brain that functions at an average rate of 48 thoughts a minute (70,000 a day!) taking a deliberate break from the usual busy-ness of life is as important as sleeping. Never more so than now!

In this age of consant techie multi-stimulation, where we are bombarded from every angle and in every minute with stuff vying for our attention, so many fascinating media rabbit holes to go down, it is even more challenging to discipline ourselves to simply stop doing and find a way of just being.

Holidays are our usual way of retreating. “A change is as good as a rest” the expression goes,; putting oneself into a different landscape and context gives blessed relief from the potential monotony of routine, even if we love our preeminent change-maker lives! But right now , good luck with that, girls!

I invite you to discover a lovely latin-origin word - 'vacare' (meaning emptiness) the origin of the word vacation; it means shutting down and simply ceasing constant movement and thought (Oh yes please Jenni P!) Vacare is the fastest way to rejuvenate our energy levels. For those who are able, taking the time out to go on an organized retreat is a loving practice in self-care, because it allows for severing from everyday stress, logistics, and obligations. And what's not to give massive emojis to that?!

A retreat can catalyze change and renew inspiration in our lives. It lends time to clear out the habits we wish to break; it allows us to reassess our values, to discover new truths, and it inspires our path forward.

A retreat also helps us to reconnect with our inner highest selves, and check in with our aspirations and dreams. Regular withdrawal can enhance our vitality, remind us of out connection to our life’s purpose, and is often a transformational experience, like a sacred space to restore, strengthen, and heal. In temporarily departing from our loved ones for a while, we're always happier to see them again!

Despite knowing all of this, most of us don't prioritize regular pattern of withdrawal until a health, relationship issue, or other crisis prompts us to take radical measures. And get the hell out.

So soldered are we into the daily processes of material achievement, we'll give ourselves a hundred excuses why we must just keep hammering away with perpetual doing and constant thinking.

In doing so, we shrink the precious space given to rest, recuperation, and reflection. Time, money, and obligations to others, are the top excuses (I've been there often!)

But what if you tried a few new ways of taking a retreat, without ever leaving home? And just suppose you committed to taking time out; that it became the most important ritual you care about. With regular space just for you, how near your dreams would seem once more!

The good news is, it doesn't have to be complicated, and it doesn't have to cost a dime. With a business or career to run, relationships to maintain, homes and cars to service and our dreams to give attention to, finding ways to have minibreaks are the ideal way to stay relaxed, focused, energized, and inspired.

Here are some of my favorite ways:

2. Right Here, Right Now During the bustle of the day, once our brains are on auto‐ pilot with stuff to get done, there are opportunities to take mini-retreats from right where we stand or sit.

With mindful attention to our breath, or even a murmured mantra of reminding, it is even possible to disconnect from your surroundings in a room or bus full of people. The key here is to deliberately step outside of our thought patterns and become the watcher of those, with detachment.

All day long we're making judgments about people, ourselves, and events. The art of mindfulness is the art of slowing down the maelstrom of monkey-mind analysis we humans do ceaselessly.

Even for those of us who understand the interconnectedness of the universe and function with great empathy to our world, it is refreshing to clear our perceptions by endeavouring to see the world around us without constantly giving it labels.

Practice taking judging words out of your vocabulary – for yourself and others. Try to see the humanity in everything.

If you feel safe, simply close your eyes and be GONE for awhile.

Put on dark sunglasses and a hat and go for a walk incognito.

Pass amongst the busy-ness as if you were doing so for the first time. "Be in this world but not of it" as a wise man said.

3. The Kingdom of You or Thy Kingdom Come Remember how to, and allow yourself to, daydream. At every opportunity.

Daydreaming is the most powerful way of taking time out. In your imagination, you fully inhabit your inner world.

Learn to visualize powerfully and creatively.

As children, we daydreamed naturally and regularly. It was a vital part of growing into who we are. Fantasy, if it is in benevolence to all things is a wonderful place to visit. Nobody else is there! No one can hear you. No one can see what you do. Visualization is meditation on steroids. Fantasy gives them rose-tinted glasses.

If you can't conjure up pictures, there are plenty of superb guided visualizations online to help you! You can also doodle, write in a journal, sketch, play music, sing and dance!

Carry around or wear some kind of symbolic object that represents your goals. Play with it in your hand during the day as a trigger to re-visit the imaginary kingdom where everything you desire plays out as you wish.

In doing so, you are deliberately activating the good old laws of the universe to come to your aid.

It sounds so simple but daydreaming is one of the most powerful ways to transform your life! If you can, take a special time out for this. Go and hide in nature or in a special building that feels sacred to you.

Tell no-one about your daydreams, except maybe the ones who truly love you for your truth, and want your happiness as much as you do.

Retreating is less about logistics and more about sacred ritual. None of these mini-retreats need take very long, but the daily integration of these little sanctuaries of time is an affirmation of your deep commitment to your destiny. Just hide, breathe, and imagine...

And so it IS.

1. First Things First Awakening from sleep is the most important time of the day. It allows us to set intentions, perform rituals, prepare mentally, and physically for the day.

It may sound odd, taking a retreat at the beginning of the day, but many women have only that space to juggle with, in their agenda!

Over the years, I've learned to value the awaking zone as the most valuable time of the day to retreat. In silence and after deep rest, when others are sleeping and before all the day's demands begin, this is a privileged time to just be empty, or reassess, or centre, and for me, is the most creative and effective time of all. My brain works on light speed in the morning quiet.

Meditation, self care, exercise alone, journaling, these are precious moments to set yourself up to be your most amazing self. But you need to claim that space and make sure that others around you respect your need for a temporary separation. Phones, PCs, TV, media – all buttons should be OFF. Silence – is golden. Not speaking for a while is the fastest way to connect with your soul.

Meditative music will enhance the atmosphere of sacredness. It is important to feel supremely comfortable. You are ‘Not Available’ until you're ready. In a shared house, it may take others a bit of time to accept your need to not be disturbed for a while, but they'll get over it. A retreat like this in the morning can take 5 minutes or 50. You can allow as much or as little time as you have. It is in the act of taking this time out that you declare self -love before you even begin the day.
