Analog hobbies are trending, with searches for topics like making paper rings, origami instructions, paper mache furniture, quilling art, making paper animals and more, surging.

Making puppets is another analog hobby one might attempt, like actress Michelle Botha. What started out as a hobby and a dream to educate and entertain, has grown from two puppets into a full-blown company. Botha’s love for puppets started when she worked for the production team of Takalani Sesame. Now, she’s a master puppet maker offering puppet making events and her Bizzy Hands Puppet Company presented its first social-emotional show for primary schools in January. They’ll be showcasing a number of shows beneficial to children over upcoming months.
