When preparing to sell your home, one of the most common questions we receive from owners is:
"What can we do around the house to maximize our sale result?"
Our primary advice is to focus on improvements that offer the highest return on investment. While a fully renovated, trend-setting property nearly always guarantees a great result, we understand that most owners are not in a position to undertake a full renovation just to sell. Therefore, it's crucial to be strategic in your efforts to ensure the best possible return.
Touch Up or Repaint: Refresh the interior and, if necessary, the exterior with a new coat of paint.
Clean the Exterior: Pressure wash the exterior walls and driveway to give them a fresh, clean look
Improve Landscaping: Tidy up the landscaping and enhance the curb appeal of your home.
By implementing these straightforward improvements, we can guarantee that your property will not only sell for a higher price but will also sell faster than a home that appears tired or neglected.
Under Contract:

These gentle giants have already been spotted off the coast of the Gold Coast, passing Stradbroke and Moreton Islands, the Sunshine and Fraser Coasts before heading further north to Bundaberg, the Whitsundays and Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.
Bookings are still available for a whale-watching experience all along Queensland’s coastline, including in Hervey Bay – the world’s whalewatching capital.
The calm water sheltered by K’gari at Hervey Bay creates the perfect playground for humpback whales From flipper slaps, blowhole spurts and fullbody breaching – the whales put on a show to teach their young, often staying up to 20 days.

Pictured on the right, Greg Hunt (based in Cooroy, but originally from Newcastle NSW) created Custom Retaining Solutions initially as a hobby carrying out various skilled projects including but not limited to custom modifications, fit outs and repairs on trailers, campers, agricultural equipment as well as various other projects involving landscaping, fencing, retaining walls.
It was quickly identified that a small market exists in providing customers solutions beyond something out of the box which required vision, design and installation experience.
What started with premises in Cooroy to service the whole Sunshine Coast, soon expanded into another location now in Maryborough to service the Fraser Coast region.
The passion behind Custom Retaining Solutions is solution based by providing suitable design options which are high quality, long lasting and ultimately the r practical outcome for the Customer.
It makes perfect sense to get the des you are after, do the job properly, ens the job is practicality designed and fit purpose.
Greg’s motto is always “Your Idea…Y Design…Our Help…No Worries.”
Here’s your chance to learn more about how to be a great pet owner and how to teach children the best ways to interact safely with our furry friends.
July 1-7 is Dog Safety Week, an initiative of the Sunshine Coast Council.
During Dog Safety Week, the Council is holding a number of responsible pet pop-ups and library sessions.
Top tips for responsible pet ownership
Register your pet: All cats and dogs must be registered with Council every year and wear a Councilissued registration tag when in public.
Leash, tag, and bag before you walk: Make sure you have a leash, Council registration tag and poo bags before you set-off for your walk. Don’t forget that your dog must always be kept on a lead, unless in an off-leash area
Lock the gate: Make sure your dog is contained Consider a spring-loaded, selfclosing gate and check the fence for gaps.
Give wildlife some space: The Sunshine Coast is home to more than 700 native animals and we all have a responsibility to care for them If our dogs don’t have the necessary wildlife avoidance training, they can kill or harm native animals
Share the space, keep each other safe: We all share the same foot paths, cycle paths and open spaces. Keep your dog close and onleash.
Have you got security cameras at your home or business?
With more homes and businesses being fitted with security cameras, Queensland Police Service (QPS) would like to invite members of the public to register their cameras.
The Community Camera Alliance is a community safety initiative which was launched in 2021. The initiative gives residents and business owners the opportunity to register their closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
Officers will be able to access the details of your registration for the purpose of investigating crime. If police believe that your CCTV system can assist with an investigation, you will be contacted and asked to help. Your registration details are securely stored on the police database and are only accessible by police on approved devices. REGISTER >>

Welcome to our Local Dining Review feature, where each month we randomly select and review a dining outlet in Peregian, Coolum or Noosa. Not a paid advertisement or review.
Ma Boulange is an authentic French Cafe & Patisserie located in Coolum Beach, open early for Breakfast and Brunch from 6am - 12noon 6 days a week. All their products are made on the premises
Located on David Low Way in the heart of Coolum Beach, just opposite the popular caravan park. There is ample free street parking & various car parks nearby, all close walking distance.
Dining is outdoor seating and takeaway. No table bookings required however you can reserve a table.
It does get busy but securing a table doesn’t usually take long. Orders are placed and paid for at the counter. Service of drinks to the table was fast and the food came soon after.
The menu has good choices for drinks and breakfast including healthy options. We tried the Salmon croissant, the Goats Cheese and Avocado croissant and some smoothies. The croissant’s did not disappoint, really tasty and fresh, only issue is they were very filling! Really wanted room to indulge in an Almond Croissant; that’s for another day.
Overall we found Ma Boulange a relaxing place to enjoy a tasty breakfast and watch the world go by, perfect on a sunny day but also a place to enjoy when escaping the rain. It is very dog friendly too! We took some sourdough bread and baguettes home with us, highly recommend!
It’s National Cheesecake Day in July and we are celebrating with these deliciously creamy cheesecakes made in individual muffin cups; sweet and simple!
150g plain sweet or shortbread biscuits
60g butter, melted
250g cream cheese, softened 3 eggs
½ cup caster sugar
½ cup Greek style yoghurt finely grated rind of 1 lemon
METHOD: To make bases, process or crush biscuits until fine
Place in a bowl with butter and mix to combine
Line a 12 x ⅓ cup capacity muffin pan with paper cases and divide crumbs evenly between them.
Press in well to form bases (you may find the base of a glass helps to do this), then chill until required.
Place remaining ingredients in a food processor and process for 2 minutes or until smooth
Pour mixture over chilled bases and bake in a preheated 140°C oven for 2025 minutes or until just set
(Remove cheesecakes before they begin to rise or crack in the centre. They will firm up with chilling).
Allow to cool then refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
TIP: Serve topped with whipped cream and fresh passionfruit or berries, if desired.

Sunshine Coast police have noticed an increase in registration plate thefts and are encouraging everyone to consider one-way screws for their vehicle’s plates
Stolen license plates are sometimes often used on vehicles to commit crimes, run up traffic fines and so on. One way to minimise the likelihood of your registration plates is to purchase one-way screws.
One-way screws are just that - they can only be screwed in one way and cannot be removed without a specific tool. If a person tries to remove the plates without this, the plate will be rendered useless. Most hardware stores sell these screws, as well as online hardware stores
