She continued: ―I was able to stay awake and alert because I had the support and resources to ask for and get incredible help – medical, emotional.‖ "For many people, the difference between sobriety and use is not their willingness or their strength - but their resources. We don't have a
system in place that makes it easy for people to do this. With people who are struggling to make a living meet." She added: "There are so many people who deserve thanks here - I hope I've been frank with them enough, but today is a good reminder to give more. Every day is another. a lesson I was fortunate to learn, and I don't take it for granted. So, especially today, I'm grateful."
