This is a choose-your-own-adventure fashion adventure, and to help you narrow it down, we’ve compiled a list of the best antique shops in São Paulo, curated with the help of our editors at Vogue Brazil. Founded in 2007 by Paula Rondon and Gil França, B. Luxo is filled with vintage collectibles from all over the world. It’s a destination for unbranded antiques, mostly from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Inside, wunderkammers filled with antique jewelry, bell-shaped glass jars filled with vintage accessories and a large number of stuffed birds contribute to the curious atmosphere of the fashion closet. This atmosphere is conveyed online, where many great items are listed for sale.

Do you think of antiques when you think of São Paulo? Chances are good! The city is a leader in the vintage and thrift scene in Brazil and South America, for that matter with a handful of stores catering to a wide range of vintage tastes. For those looking for a center for theatrical vintage fashion, there’s a store for that (check out Casa Juisi). If you’re less interested in vintage and more into newer designer labels, there are plenty of great options for that, too (check out
Pretty New and Take Me Vintage.) If you enjoy hunting and sifting through stores that offer a mix of both, Frou Frou is the store for you.

Enter Casa Juisi, a São Paulo institution that has long drawn fashion history buffs and antiques enthusiasts to the city center. Here you’ll find archival gems like a 1989 Moschino silver-studded jacket and Zandra Rhodes’ nautical fashions from the 80s, but also American marching band costumes, opera dresses, and more. It’s a mixed bag with the common denominator being the cool. Founded in 2007 by mother-daughter duo Luzia Belucci and Giovanna Belucci, Frou Frou Vintage is a collection of vintage and secondhand pieces that they source from around the world. Their mission is to promote a second (and third!) life for all of their pieces through affordable pieces for sale or rent. Inside, you'll find a fun mix of styles disco balls hang from the ceiling, Persian rugs cover the floor, and hats fill every available wall space. Merchandise-wise, this is half thrift store and half designer vintage; shop for '70s, '80s, '90s, and '00s pieces from Courrèges, Prada, Glória Coelho, Huis Clos, Reinaldo Lourenço, Bottega Veneta, Cacharel, Comme des Garçons, and more.
