For her latest launch, Jenner's collaboration with Atlein included a ruffled jersey top, bottoms, and skirt all of which are signature pieces from the Tron label. (The entire collection drops tomorrow, September 26, with prices ranging from $88 to $198.) "There's a sculptural aspect to every one of his pieces, and his craftsmanship is something I admire," Jenner says. "We wanted to create something that was more wearable, super relatable, layerable, and easy to style." Some of the pieces were found while going through Atlein's archives. The deep-cut ruffled midi dress, for example, is based on an archival style the brand made a few seasons ago. "We added the deep-cut flared skirt at the last minute, and it's now one of my favorite pieces," Jenner says. Tron says Jenner brought a sense of sophistication to the design process, taking inspiration from Tron’s approach to draping over form. “It’s very fluid,” Tron says. “We wanted to bring high fashion to a wider audience, so we looked at some of my signature pieces like the ruffled and asymmetrical T-shirts and tried to distill them into her aesthetic.”

Launched last year, Jenner's Khy was built on offering customers high-end fashion at affordable prices. "It was really important to me that everything in the initial launch was under $200,"

Jenner told Vogue at the time. Now, she's expanding her brand's identity even further, with a new focus on collaborating with some of her favorite (and most-worn) designers. "He was definitely one of our top picks from the beginning," Tron's Jenner says. When she called him to discuss a potential partnership earlier this year, he was immediately on board. "What I saw in Kylie was the ease of style and freedom," Tron told Vogue. "That really inspired me."

The color palette, meanwhile, was inspired by “fall in California,” says Tron, a surfer. “It’s like Paris meets LA.” They created their signature tees in shades of shell, yellow, cherry, lime, blue, and black. “We tried a lot of different things with the color palette, and I’m really happy with what we ended up with,” says Jenner. “I wanted the palette to feel free. The color we ended up with was this dark cherry it’s perfect for fall.” While one might not think cherry and lime go together, Jenner and Tron wanted to push the idea that bold colors can actually be worn together. “I like unexpected color combinations,” says Tron. “You can wear a top with a dress.”
