Why I Love It: A subcategory of scents that I appreciate the most is the light and easy to layer, thanks to their skin-beautifying properties. My longtime favorite is Nude by La Bouche Rouge. Described by the brand as a soft caress, this scent is soft and sensual on the skin. The fresh bergamot and fig are balanced by a soft, smooth woody base that blends beautifully with the other scents. Why I Love It: Eau Vive is an apt name for this Chanel fragrance; after all, vive means “to live long” in French. As one of four scents in Chanel’s Chance collection, I find this one to be the most refreshing. It opens with blood orange and grapefruit, and opens with jasmine and cedarwood-iris. I tend to reach for it when I have a long day ahead and need a pick-me-up.
Why I like it: The allure of the forest is that it envelops you, making you one with nature. The same can be said of Aroma by Costa Brazil, which leaves you wanting more after every use. Natural ingredients sourced from the Amazon (white forest botanicals, Brazilian orange essential oil) activate its captivating scent. Its woody, herbal characteristics are enlivened by pink pepper and grapefruit peel then grounded by bourbon, nutmeg and plant-based musk to create an EDP
that makes one (i.e. me) feel wild and free. Maintaining a bit of IYKYK status among industry insiders, I know one of my colleagues will ask me if I wear it.
Yesterday, the singer showed off her travel style at New York's JFK Airport.
