Her arrogant, divisive Constance, Countess of Trentham, gives way to the caustic Lady Violet. Armed with witty oneliners, stinging putdowns, and a wardrobe of elaborate feathered hats and beaded gowns, Smith is the heart and soul of Fellowes' next big project, a period drama that has spawned six scandalous seasons and two sequels on screen, with a third currently in the works. The Countess of Grantham is easily her funniest work any highlight reel is sure to make you scream and it's the work that earned her three Emmys and a more loyal fan base than Potter.
