APPLICATION INFORMATION APPLICANTS The following are eligible to enter the Digital Communication Awards: agencies and companies, associations and NGOs, political parties, institutions and individuals working in the field of online communication.

SUBMISSION Either the client or the agency can apply. Should a client and its agency submit the same project, the submission will be considered as a joint application. All entries must be submitted in digital format. Applications need to be uploaded on www.digital-awards.eu.

PROJEC T TIME FR A MES Any project created or published between July 2015 and June 2016 may participate in the competition. The major part of the project must have occurred during this time frame. The project can still be ongoing.

DEADLINE AND ENTRY FEE The submission deadline is 3 June 2016 (Late Deadline: 17 June). Applications to the Digital Communication Awards must be purchased. Until midnight on 3 June, the first application costs 290 Euro plus VAT and each additional application costs 190 Euro plus VAT. Each application for the categories under Accomplishment costs 390 Euro plus VAT. Between 4 to 17 June every application comes with a late fee of 90 Euro. Invoices will be issued upon receipt of the completed application documents. The tickets for the Award show must be purchased seperately.

A P P L I C A T I O N F O R M 1. Applicants For each application, information about the organisation and agency (if applicable) is requested. 2. General information • Summary of the project at a maximum length of 400 characters (including spaces) • Time frame of the project • Budget and approximate working hours of all involved employees (not a mandatory field, information will not be published) • Number and function of employees who worked on the project

3. Project Description A short description of max. 2,000 characters (including spaces) must be provided containing the following: • Initial situation leading to the project • Objectives of the project • Strategic considerations • Details of the implementation • Summary and evaluation of results achieved

ACADEMIC ENTRIES Special conditions apply to the submissions for categories “Best Bachelor's Thesis“ and “Best Master's Thesis“. Academic Research entries are free of charge. For further information, please visit our website or contact:

CO N TAC T 4. Supporting Material and Weblinks Accompanying materials are limited to three documents. Examples of possible documents are planning documents, press releases, images, PowerPoint presentations (no more than 10 slides) and movies. One document equates to one file. In addition, you can specify up to six links to websites, social media platforms, intranet sites, or online videos. The following formats are acceptable: •F or texts: pdf •F or images: jpg/jpeg, gif, png •F or videos/movies: mov, flv, avi (in the highest possible quality, maximum 50 MB, or as a link to a website where the movie can be seen) •F or presentations: pdf, ppt (ideally you convert ppt files to pdf format) Applications need to be filled out in English. Supporting material can be in original language.

SELECTION PROCESS After the application deadline, the Jury reviews all submissions and determines a shortlist of three to five nominees in each category. The shortlist will be announced at the end of July. In an all-day Jury meeting in Berlin on 29 September 2016, the shortlisted entrants will present their projects in a short oral presentation. The Jury will determine the winners after the meeting has finished. Should it not be possible to present your project in person, the Jury will choose the next best-rated application from the pre-shortlisted entrants. The Award ceremony will take place on the same evening at the Award show in Berlin.
