1100s
The Netherton Head, a Cultural Relic belonging to this era, was found in the lands surrounding the Priory.

1200s
This tower was a four-storey square tower house built on the site on the 1200s. It had a similar appereance to the still standing Hallbar Tower, located in Braidwood.

1661
Structural damages
An external inspection of the building reveals that the south wall is severely cracked and the roof has collapsed.
Fire in the Priory
Although the stonework and the roof were almost intact, the fire produced severe damages to the structural integrity of the building.

Friends of the Cambusnethan Priory
Local people form a community group called the Friends of the Priory with the aim of avoiding the demolition of the building and fight for its restoration.
