radford Greenhouses Limited
Bradford Greenhouses is a true Canadian success story. In August 1956, Francis Ferragine immigrated to Canada from England with his wife, Chiara; his sons, Tony and Peter; and his daughter, Mary. For the next four years, Francis and his family worked as labourers for local farmers in the Holland Marsh area. In 1961, Francis purchased property in Bradford and began growing the company. Bradford Greenhouses opened its retail operation on Highway 11 in Bradford in 1975, then continued to grow until opening its’ flagship retail store in Barrie in 1993. Today, Bradford Greenhouses Limited is one of the largest greenhouse growers and retailers in central Ontario. Francis Ferragine passed away from illness in 1999, but his legacy and the family business continue to grow. Over the years, Bradford Greenhouses has expanded its operations, with the Bradford Wholesale location now offering more than 25 acres of growing space. This facility produces high-quality young plants and retail-ready live plants. We partner with leading horticultural breeders and professionals to combine knowledge, resources, and experience that support customer success through retail. With our tagline, “From Start to Finish,” Bradford Greenhouses represents a full-service wholesale grower. “From Start,” we provide a wide assortment of plugs and rooted liners to independent greenhouse growers and farmers across Canada. “To Finish,” we produce a full line of retail-ready live plants for every season. Our retail-ready assortment includes packs and flats, hanging baskets, custom planters, summer instant annuals, fall mums, fall custom planters, poinsettias, and much more. Our facility has evolved into one of the most efficient and technologically advanced greenhouse operations in Canada. TIPS Additional micronutrients from a balanced blend should be added to the fertilizer solution to deliver about 1 ppm Iron, 0.5 ppm Zinc, 0.25 ppm Copper, 0.25 ppm Boron, and 0.1 ppm Molybdenum. • Heat delay can occur when daytime temperatures surpass 90°F (32°C) and/or when night temperatures surpass 77° (25°C). This is a general guideline and will differ based on cultivar and growing environment. • In shaded production, ensure black cloth is pulled after sun is low to avoid heat buildup; evening or prior to sunrise is preferred. • Plants not subjected to growth regulator will elongate about 1 inch (2.5 cm) per week following the start of short days. Plant height (including the height of the pot) should be about 60% of the final height at the start of short days and reproductive development. • Early bud set can occur from several environmental impacts. Most commonly light or temperature. • Vegetatively growing plants require a minimum of 15 hours of continuous light to avoid early bud set. Check light levels in your area when moving plants to outdoor fields to ensure you have 15+ hours of day length. • Cool night temperatures is the most common cause of early bud set. Maintain nights >65°F (18°C) to avoid temperature induced early bud set. • Cool night temperatures during finishing can increase color intensity. •

Florel® (Ethephon) can be a tool to help with stretches of cool nights during vegetative growth period. • Keep Ethephon solution in the acidic range (pH 4.0-4.5) to prevent chemical deactivation. Bradford Greenhouses Limited produces plugs and liners for shipping between calendar week 4 to week 18. When planning a plug and liner order, consider the lead time requirement as production time varies by plant variety and tray size. Most production order lead-time is calculated by adding crop time plus three weeks to secure input materials. In some cases, lead time can be up to 8 months for high-demand plants such as select varieties of begonias or geraniums, etc. We encourage customers to place plug and liner orders early to ensure the security of input materials to meet their production needs. Take advantage of the 2% early discount applied to orders placed before November 1st. Shipping Freight estimates are calculated based on the shipping location, and delivery method, whether by a third party or Bradford Greenhouses’ logistics. TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TERMS: These terms and conditions govern the order of plants, supplies, and input materials. No modification of these terms and conditions are effective unless in writing signed by authorized personal of Bradford Greenhouses Ltd. Placement of an order constitutes buyer’s acceptance of these terms and conditions. PAYMENTS Term net 45 days from invoice date with pre-approved credit accounts. 2% discount given to payments received within 15 days from invoice date. Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) payments accepted within term 45 days from invoice date. Payment by cheques are accepted, made payable to Bradford Greenhouses Ltd. A fee of $35 will be charged for any returned (NSF) cheques, declined EFT transactions, or declined bankcard transactions. Accounts on COD (cash on delivery) status, payment must be received prior to shipment date or upon pick up. DO NOT send cash by mail, Bradford Greenhouses Ltd. will not accept responsibility for money lost by mail.

Other Prices • Third party delivery charges may be applied to orders not within Bradford Greenhouses’ logistical routes. • A per box surcharge will be applied to every box used to package order per customer request. • Out-of-province orders must be shipped in boxes. CANCELLATION POLICY Plants are grown-to-order and Bradford Greenhouses Ltd. purchases input materials on behalf of our customers to meet order demand. Exceptions can be made for moderate adjustments. However, order modifications outside of an acceptable timeline can become costly which can affect future cost assessments. Consider the below points when pondering a change or cancellation of a production order.
OVERDUE PAYMENTS Outstanding accounts will pay a rate of 2% interest per month (total 26.82% per annum) on all amounts exceeding term the 45 days from invoice date. Credit card payments after the term 45 days are subject to a 3% surcharge card fee. All accounts not in good standing by June 1st will be changed to COD status for future orders.
NO CANCELLATIONS ARE PERMITTED WITHIN 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO, ON OR AFTER THE SOW OR STICK DATE. • Cancellation of Plug Production within 4 weeks before sow date is subject to a 25% restocking charge to the cost of input material. • Cancellation of Liner Production within 6 weeks before stick date is subject to a fee equivalent to the full cost of input material.

SUBSTITUTION We deal with live plants and from time to time a crop may fail or develop a shortage, we will inform customers of such situations. Under these circumstances, we will either substitute or cancel the order item(s). Please indicate your preference upon submission of a production order. By indicating you will accept a substitution in the event of a crop failure or shortage, Bradford Greenhouses will substitute an item(s) of similar characteristics of an equal or greater value. CLAIMS Customers must immediately inspect the product upon order arrival and promptly give notification of damages or defects. • •
