The Footsoldiers Design Consultancy - London

Leading the end to end footwear design process from trend research, design concepts, cad renders, colour exploration and technical packages, all the way through to product development in the factory. Responsible for managing design projects and client relations for key accounts such as Timberland, Hoka, Keen, Hush Puppies and Viking.

Visiting Lecturer | April 2021 - May 2022

The London College of Fashion - London

Delivering Rhino training sessions to MA Footwear & Artefact students at LCF. I provided hands-on guidance to help develop student skills in using Rhino software. In addition to the technical training, I also shared my expertise in 3D professional practice.

Freelance 3D Modeller | July 2015 - Present

Studio Heleen Overbeek - London

Developing 3D modelled products for a range of interdisciplinary clients, from prosthetics legs, custom jewellery, bespoke heels, sneaker toolings to full garments. Provided technical 3D expertise, translating sketches into detailed 3D models using Rhino, Blender and Keyshot.

Winner Global Outlook Award | 2018

With The London College of Fashion - Brasil

Proposed a fruit-based and water dissolvable material to substitute synthetic rubber in flip flops. Awarded the Global Outlook Award and a study trip to Brasil for professional industrial development.

Winner LCF x Kering Collaborative Unit | 2017

With Kering & The London College of Fashion - London & Paris

In a interdisciplinary student collaboration, we developed a VR store experience for Kering showcasing how consumers could make their own biobased materials in a retail environment. After winning the LCF x Kering Collaborative Unit, we presented our proposal to the Kering board supported by a business proposal and material samples.

About EXP:RED

EXP:RED is a paper-based material innovation for footwear (certified by SATRA, 2017) that enables designers to produce disposable and recyclable products to make environmentally friendly overconsumption possible. The project speculates on the way designers could alter products and manufacturing to benefit both humanity and the planet. The collection showcases the possibilities of the material and the DIY Paper Shoe Kit explains how to produce with it. By making the viewer a participant in the production process, the Kit creates a social and educational aspect past shopping and wearing to alter user interaction with the product.
