Leaders in Action
Leadership HEB Class of 2020
For more than three decades, the program has identified and developed individuals who are seen as leaders in our community. A program of the HEB Chamber of Commerce, Leadership HEB strives to educate and create an awareness in it's participants of the value that comes from building leadership skills and becoming familiar with civic responsibilities by increasing community involvement.

Class activities vary from year to year, but participants are able to get a behind-the-scenes look at entities involved with transportation, economic development, public safety, healthcare, city government, education and - during a day trip to Austin - state government at work. The class also works as a team to plan and complete a community service project. These projects have made a tremendous impact on our community. Although COVID-19 tried to create a setback, the recent class of 2020 was able to pull together and create a social media resource that continues to help those who are struggling. Graduates of the program are given the opportunity to join the Leadership HEB Alumni Association. Dues are used to fund scholarships and hold meetings. The Alumni Association due contribute to scholarships that are provided to each class. In addition, the Association honors alumnus who have exhibited outstanding leadership qualities. Congratulations to Rochelle Ross who was the Distinguished Leadership HEB Alumnus winner for 2020.
