GOOD AFTERNOON AND WELCOME BACK TO THE GREEN ENERGY SPORTS GROUND.
It's a long season - we understand what we need to do to get out of this spell. Last weekend at Lincoln, it was probably the best we've played with the ball all season. Overall at half-time we were pleased with how in control we were, without doing too much to challenge their keeper. We felt pretty comfortable and we knew the final third product would eventually come. We went 1-0 up and pressed the self destruct with three sloppy goals. We gave a penalty away within minutes and that gave them a massive lift. I've been through this before - every team in this league will have a similar spell and we'll need to get through it. This is where we see what players we've really got. I've questioned some of the lads' footballing brain we need to give everything every game. Amar Purewal will be out for two or three weeks with his hamstring and Liam Henderson is now suspended, so we'll have to shuffle personnel and experiment in forward areas. Because of the start we’ve had, there won’t be many games this season that we’re not expected to win - today is one of them. I watched Worksop last Tuesday against Shildon and they’re a good side - you have to hold your hands up and say they have some good, experienced players. They’ll have aspirations of winning the division but we’re not going to roll over and let them tickle our bellies we’ll fight them to the death to get three points. 7
