We are extremely proud to remain a family run company with the same values, commitment, and vision that led my father Tony Andrews to establish the company back in 1980. From those beginnings, we have continued to develop and diversify our products. At times, it has been challenging with tough economic climates and a competitive industry but we continue to adapt and remain very proud of our heritage and achievements. The industry has seen many changes in the last four decades but going forward energy conservation will continue to be a priority for the company. The E200 'combined system' launched which marks a significant milestone, being the first product to offer ‘Total Environmental Control’ from a single, easily installed, unit.
The Heatstar brand name was formerly incorporated as a company in its own right.

‘A swim down memory lane’
1987
The E205 and E207 systems were added to the E200, to offer a full range of ‘packaged’ environmental control units, a concept that is still utilised today and is now accepted as the norm.
Completion of new, purpose built, factory at Newport.

Heatstar Orion introduced as a direct response to the restrictions contained in the new electrical regulations and offered an alternative and convenient approach to dehumidification.
Andromeda ‘flexible’ Environmental Control unit launched and the concept is still utilised today. The Andromeda was a packaged unit, but with the added benefits of the flexibility of a multitude of different positions and configurations.

Heatstar Phoenix introduced, a clever concept which offered increased fresh air ventilation using two separate methods of heat recovery. Initially a dehumidification heat pump and, secondly, a plate air-to-air heat recuperator.
Heatstar Taurus introduced as a natural progression for the demand for increased capacity products for larger municipal pools and leisure centres.

With a team of their own dedicated engineers located throughout the UK, Heatstar are able to deliver an unrivalled level of after sales, preventative maintenance and response support service. These service engineers are directly employed by us, with extensive experience, and are completely knowledgeable about the entire Heatstar product range. Each engineer works from a fully equipped and GPS tracked vehicle carrying an array of specialist tools and a wide range of spare parts to cover most eventualities. Heatstar offer planned maintenance agreements on all of their products to ensure that the Heatstar system continues to operate to its optimum performance.
Free of charge technical training courses in conjunction with AstralPool The technology relating to the heating and ventilation of modern swimming pools is fast-moving, highly legislated and environmentally challenging. By investing in Heatstar’s technical training, held in AstralPool UK’s dedicated training facility, the pool trade are able to develop the specialist knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to install and maintain Heatstar systems as well as advancing their industry qualifications. Orbital Scroll ‘high efficiency’ compressors introduced into Heatstar systems, representing the pinnacle of compressor energy efficiency.
With another industry first, Heatstar incorporated the latest ‘EC’ ‘low energy’ fan technology. Astonishingly low power consumptions can now be achieved with 100% speed controllability.

'Blue EC' 'On-Demand' ventilation introduced, which maximises the benefits of the concept of 'On-Demand' ventilation, offering significant energy savings over comparable systems by only utilising increased fan power when a confirmed demand was sensed.
UK Building regulation compliant Phoenix EC launched at Spatex, in direct response to the changes in legislation affecting indoor pools and the required efficiency of environmental control systems.
