“ RATED EXCELLENT IN ALL CATEGORIES”

Welcome

At Heathfield, every individual has the opportunity to achieve, whether that is in the classroom, on the sports pitches or in the performing arts. Creating their own path and contributing to our community in their own unique way, they are encouraged and extended by teachers who are experts in their field. This ensures that our students develop as rounded individuals with the confidence and positive attitude to achieve far beyond their initial expectations.

There is no such thing as a stereotypical ‘Heathfield student’ and this is one of our greatest strengths. This publication provides a summary of the outstanding efforts of our students across their busy school life and we are extremely proud of their academic examination results. On average, students achieved nearly one grade higher than their standardised predictions in every GCSE taken, and this continues at A level, which is outstanding.

What is far harder to capture is the culture and atmosphere of Heathfield, the everyday lived experience, the friendships and the fun. Sporting achievements, Art exhibitions, music concerts, partnerships, volunteering and charity fundraising alongside dance and musical theatre showcases, all celebrate and extend the achievements of our students.

At its core, Heathfield is a community. Education is transformational, and Heathfield students ‘grow into young people who make a difference to the world, and live their lives boldly’*. This is a result of our culture; the importance and value placed on each individual, the commitment of all the students, staff and parents, and the unwavering desire to enable each and every student to excel.

With best wishes

RIBI Young Photographer 2023

RIBI Young Photographer is a competition set out by the Rotary Club within Ascot where a theme is given out to school and communities to challenge their photographic ability. This year’s theme was ‘The Beauty of Architecture’. Entrants can enter the local heats for submission with the hope to progress further into District and National. Whilst we haven’t been lucky with students progressing from the local rounds, we were fortunate to have two winners in the following categories.

Leiths School of Food and Wine

Leiths Academy for Schools was founded in 1996 and since then, thousands of teenagers have mastered key culinary techniques and discovered a real love of good, nutritious food. The Leiths School of Food and Wine

Introductory Certificate course takes aspiring food professionals through a thorough, rounded curriculum of the fundamental cooking techniques. Starting from the key foundations of cookery, such as knife skills and egg cookery, students will learn the science behind the techniques to be able to build a solid understanding of essential culinary skills.

I OPENED LEITH’S IN NOTTING HILL IN 1969 AND IT WAS EVENTUALLY AWARDED A MICHELIN STAR. AT THE TIME, THERE WERE ONLY A FEW WOMEN RUNNING SMALL BISTROS - BUT I WAS THE FIRST WOMAN TO HAVE A ‘SERIOUS’, EXPENSIVE RESTAURANT
