Last week I was lucky enough to be asked to speak at the Boarding Schools’ Association Conference, where I spoke on the value of resilience and challenge and how we aim to inculcate that in our pupils. Heathfield ensures that the pastoral support we give is at the right level of challenge to stretch but not to stress. This newsletter illustrates the extensive range of activities both in and out of the classroom that we offer to your daughters to enable them to thrive. From Finn and his handler PC Wardell who survived a life threatening scenario to listening to a young woman who made a last minute decision to switch university from Medicine at UCL and go through clearing to do Physiotherapy and has never regretted it. Your daughters have been exposed to wonderful speakers who exhort them all to ‘see the sky’ and to push through the challenges that life presents to us all. I wish you all a wonderful Half term and to those who are revising please find some time to turn off as well. Best wishes, Mrs Gardiner Legge, Headmistress
