Dear Parents and Guardians In this historic week that has seen the first female US Vice-President, Amanda Gorman’s outstanding words as Youth Poet Laureate, and significant progress in the roll out of vaccines, life progresses. Spring is on its way. This is equally true of life in our Heathfield community. I am enjoying the opportunities to meet many of you via our parent Zoom calls; thank you for joining us. Speaking about the range of lessons, co-curricular activities, events and challenges that the students are involved with on a daily basis is always a joy! I hope that Mrs Whitton’s online safety updates were helpful last week, and I am sure that Mr Mitchell’s academic updates this week will be equally well received. It is important to remember during these times that learning and the buzz of Heathfield activity is continuing ‘as usual’. I have particularly enjoyed reading Form I’s postcards from the solar system, and watching Form III’s Flipgrid work on Covenants. Viewing our virtual art gallery on Instagram and listening to Jazz Carlin, Olympic swimmer, completes the illustration of the variety and enthusiasm with which your daughters are engaging in Heathfield@Home. Additionally, plans for the Sixth Form Centre are progressing through the tendering process. I am so looking forward to the time that we are able to share these and more in person when we are all back in School together! Have a good weekend. Best wishes Ms Wilson
