MINIMALISM I think my home minimalism photoshoot was successful as I captured interesting objects t o p h o t o g r a p h w h i l s t m a n a g i n g t o m a i ntain the minimalism idea by including large amounts of negative space in my photos. I took my photos in natural lighting, which worked well for the shots I took of the cables in the sky, as the negative space had a simple depth to it (through the clouds), which I think added interest to the individual shots. I could improve my minimalism photoshoot b y t a k i n g m y p h o t o s a t m o r e i n t e r e s t i n g a ngles, as I believe that some of the photos I took were quite simple and could have been more interesting if I had shot them from above or below, rather than straight ahead for example.

TYPOLOGY For my typology photoshoot I decided to take photos of different types of flowers. I specifically selected bright-coloured flowers to make the overall photoshoot interesting. I used a white background behind each flower to make sure that all the focus and attention was on the flowers, and I took the photos in natural lighting and directly above the flowers.
I think the photoshoot was successful as my flower grids look very effective with the different colours included. I also like the way that I used different types of flowers which made each grid very different.
RESPONSE
SLOW SHUTTER Overall, I don’t think that my slow-shutter photoshoot was successful as I didn’t use a dark enough background to capture the limited light.
However, I think that some of my photos worked well, when I did use a dark background. I like these photos more because they have captured movement by having a blurred effect to them.
Next time I take slow shutter photographs, I will make sure that I will use a dark background which will allow me to create a better effect of movement, using limited light to contrast and to show slight blurred movement.
