Catch the Wave: Waterfront South Neighborhood Plan The Waterfront South Community has come together to “Catch the Wave!” We are building on our positive assets and facing our challenges to create a future of opportunities for our community. The Waterfront South Neighborhood Planning process (2021-2022) created the comprehensive 10-year community development vision that identifies goals for housing, economic development, youth, greening, arts & culture, public safety, and many other important aspects of the neighborhood.

Projects Makerspace & Artist Studios

eart of Camden will create a place where arts and culture reflect neighborhood identity and character while offering opportunities for economic growth. Updates include rehab of underutilized property; additional artist spaces in the neighborhood complimenting the Arts District; and new walk-in retail space in decades.

2,000 people served through programs such as free food distribution, fresh mobile farmers market partnership with Virtua, hundreds of diapers distributed, back to school supplies, coat drive and Project Night Night.

ith High quality programming to promote wellness, community connections, and a place to gather, the fieldhouse continues to be the only neighborhood gym serving many of South Camden’s families.
