What will my child be doing at school? When your child’s school participates in Jump Rope for Heart, they’ll be part of a fun, school-wide experience that gets students moving while helping them make a difference. Throughout the program, students will learn about heart and brain health, discover the FAST signs of stroke, and take part in engaging activities like the Jump Kick-off, Jump Movement Moments and the Jump Across Canada Challenge. The experience culminates in a schoolwide Event Day celebration where students come together to move, celebrate their achievements, and recognize the impact they’re making for families affected by heart disease and stroke.
How do I get my child started? 1. Register online Sign up for Jump Rope for Heart and create your child’s personal fundraising page. It’s free, quick and easy!
2. Personalize your page Add a photo, share why your child is jumping and set a fundraising goal. A personalized page can help inspire support from family and friends.
3. Kickstart your fundraising Make a self-donation if you’re able. Every dollar raised supports lifesaving research and helps children and families affected by heart disease and stroke.
4. Share with family & friends Use the fundraising tools in your Participant Centre to spread the word. Share your child’s page by email, text message, social media or download a personalized QR code to make donating easy.
5. Earn rewards & celebrate As your child raises funds, they’ll unlock virtual badges and may qualify for Heart Hero Rewards as a thank you for their fundraising efforts. Then celebrate their accomplishments on Event Day! Register and fundraise at jumpropeforheart.ca/registration

How Jump helped Max save his dad’s life Students will do more than just get active when they participate in Jump. They will also learn about their heart and brain health and important life-saving skills, including the FAST signs of stroke, just like Max. When Max attended his school’s Jump Rope for Heart kick-off event, he learned the FAST signs of stroke. Just days later, when his dad showed signs of stroke, Max recognized the warning signs and acted quickly to get him the help his dad needed.
