Ellis Manufacturing Company began its journey in 1993, starting modestly with an engine lathe, a power hacksaw, and a determination to serve the oil and gas industry with dependable craftsmanship. Their first product—the N11‑20‑A1 seat nipple—set the foundation for a growing line of specialized tools.

By the following year, the Ellis Shear Tool had entered the market, and over the next few years the company introduced the Ellis Left‑Hand Coupler and the Ellis On‑Off Tool, each reflecting a steady expansion of capability and expertise.

As demand increased, Ellis invested heavily in advanced CNC lathes and mills designed specifically to meet the company’s requirements, a commitment that continues today. These acquisitions ensured that every product met rigorous API specifications and positioned the company to remain at the forefront of technological standards in the industry.

In 1999, Ellis Manufacturing relocated to Midland, Texas—a move that placed the company closer to its customers and opened the door to a broader product line. The establishment of the Ellis Sales Division in 2006 strengthened customer relationships and created a direct channel for understanding the evolving needs of producers and operators.

Two years later, Ellis earned its API Certification and opened a new manufacturing facility near the Midland airport. That same year, the acquisition of Pro‑Tech Specialties in Midland, Texas expanded the company’s footprint in the Permian Basin and into South Texas through its established warehouse in Jourdanton.

Growth continued at a steady pace. A dedicated sales warehouse was added beside the manufacturing plant in 2010, followed by the opening of the Oklahoma City warehouse in 2011 to serve the Mid‑Continent region.

In 2012, the South Texas warehouse was relocated

to New Braunfels to better support the Eagle Ford Shale operations and Ellis’s long‑standing customers throughout the region. A fourth warehouse opened in South Dakota in 2013, extending service to the Bakken and Rocky Mountain regions. That year also marked a major milestone: the manufacturing facility tripled in size, and the Sales Division building doubled its capacity.

In 2018, Ellis expanded westward by appointing a manufacturer’s representative in Bakersfield, California, establishing a presence in all five major oil fields in the United States.

The following year, the company formed its Engineering Division to enhance technical leadership, new product development and customer support. This team is currently developing a Failure Lab designed to analyze real‑world challenges faced by oil and gas producers—another step in Ellis’s ongoing pursuit of innovation.

Today, Ellis Manufacturing Company draws on more than 300 years of combined manufacturing experience and over 250 years of sales expertise.

These decades of knowledge have shaped lasting relationships across the industry, turning customers into long‑standing partners and friends. or more than four decades, Hospice of Midland has provided compassionate care to patients and families throughout West Texas. Founded in 1981 as Midland’s first hospice program and one of the earliest hospice organizations in Texas, it was incorporated as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization and became a certified Medicare hospice agency in 1983. Today, it remains the Permian Basin’s first and only nonprofit hospice, guided by a mission to “care from the heart to fulfill the unique needs of patients and families.”

Hospice of Midland provides patient-centered care wherever an individual calls home, whether that is a private residence, assisted-living community, skilled-nursing facility or hospital. Its interdisciplinary care teams include physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains and trained volunteers. Together, they develop individualized plans addressing pain and symptom management as well as each patient’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.

The organization’s services extend well beyond traditional end-of-life care. Its Pathways Community Palliative Care program offers education, guidance and support at no cost to people living with advanced or life-limiting illnesses. Unlike hospice care, palliative care may be provided at any stage of a serious illness and alongside curative treatment. The Pathways team works with patients, families and their existing

wo or More is a Midland nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the organizations that serve West Texas. Its mission is straightforward but meaningful: provide financial support to underfunded local charities so they can advance their missions and reach more people in need. The organization describes its vision as serving West Texans through a Christ-centered channel that directs financial resources toward important yet underresourced causes.

To generate those resources, Two or More combines community generosity with creative fundraising. Funds are raised through estate sales, special events and direct financial contributions, while donated items provide another way for residents to support the mission. Events such as Thrifty Thursdays and the organization’s Purse Party turn shopping and fellowship into opportunities to give back. At the end of the year, the money raised is distributed to selected local nonprofits, helping them sustain programs, meet operating needs and expand their impact.

Two or More also invites eligible nonprofits to apply for grants, creating a direct pathway between available resources and organizations that need additional support. By serving as a bridge between donors and local charities, Two or More allows each contribution to have a broader effect across the community. The organization operates as a 501(c)(3)

“I've been a hairstylist for 20 years, and for the past 19 years I've had the privilege of serving clients at this salon. Seven years ago, I became the owner, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” she said.

Miller noted that the salon is home to an incredible team of professionals, including 13 hairstylists, a nail technician, a permanent makeup artist, and two assistants. The salon offers a full range of beauty services, including haircuts, color, hair extensions, Brazilian Blowouts, hair tinsel, waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials, powder brows, lip blushing, Botox, and fibroblast skin tightening treatments.
