Prepared Public Speaking Prepared Public Speaking is the highest level of developing a 6-8 minute speech about a topic related to agriculture, food and natural resources. Emily Smith composed a speech about the alphagal sugar gene found in swine and their revolutionary research to remove that gene to allow individuals with AGS to consume red meat products, but specifically pork. Emily was named the state Runner-Up in this contest. Congratulations!

State Office Being nominated into state office is one of the highest accomplishments one can receive in the FFA organization. Laker FFA added their 33rd Michigan FFA State Officer to the list of distinguished individuals. Leah Irion was elected as the 2021-2022 Michigan FFA Region III State Vice President!

Parliamentary Procedure The highest level of running effective meetings, students demonstrate over 12 abilities throughout their meeting, while solving a topic and providing debate related to their issue. Students also demonstrate their knowledge through a written test, prior to delivering their presentation to a panel of judges. Our team placed 3rd in the state! Team members are: chairman, Brianna Yoder, Devonee Gnagey, Lexi Smithers, Mikel Good, Kennedy Henry, Reagan Boyce, and Kendal Boyce
