supplement of the Jacksonville Journal-Courier
The Jacksonville Journal-Courier would like to present to you our 2025 Elite 5 recipients. The Journal-Courier believes in education and wanted to continue to recognize the top 5% of each underclassman grade-freshman, sophomores, and juniors in Morgan County according to each student’s grade point average.
This is the 7th annual Elite 5 program offered. Each student will receive a medal and certificate, as well as put in a drawing for various scholarships given by our local colleges of Illinois College and Lincoln Land Community College, as well as The Jacksonville Public Schools Foundation. The list of scholarship winners is listed on page 3.
Parents and Students: Thank you for once again striving to be the best that you can be and focusing on your education. This is a program that the Journal-Courier hopes to continue and grow. Our hope is that this gives the students something to strive for and obtain each year. All medals and certificates were placed in envelopes and are located at each participating school in the office. If you were a scholarship winner, information about those are also included in your individual packets. Please contact your school for pick up arrangements.
Thank you again to our advertisers and supporters. We would also like to thank our scholarship sponsors of Illinois College, Lincoln Land Community College and The Jacksonville Public School Foundation. A big thank you to all participating high schools and the office staff to help obtain the student information and handle the pickup of packets. And lastly, thank you to the parents and especially the students for placing your education as a top priority.
Congratulations 2025 Elite 5 Recipients!
