In 2004,BethCoffey foundherself confinedtoa hospital bedand aneckbrace aftera terrifying rollover carcrash near herfamilyranch outsideofMarfa. As soon as shewas on themend, agroup of herfriends insisted on taking herdancing.Ata now-defunctNorth Austin spot called Dallas Nite Club,Coffey rediscovered apassion forsomething she’dlearned yearsago as a little girl:the Texastwo-step.
“Thisguy askedmetodance, and he wasa great dancer,” shesays. When TheWhite Horseopenedits doors, the veterandancerturnedall thosehours of funintoa career, and she’sbeenthe dedicatedtwo-step instructor forthe venuefor 13 years. &Infertility Specialist at Aspire Fertility Austin
Endometriosis isa chronic and sometimes painfulconditioninwhichthe tissuethat lines the uterus, known as the endometrium, implants outsideofthe uterus. This tissue cangrowonthe fallopian tubes, ovaries, bowels, and other areas near and sometimes farfromthe reproductiveorgans, such as the lungs. This tissuebuildup can cause pain, inflammation, scarring, andcysts.
Symptoms of Endometriosis
Pelvic pain is the most commonsymptomof endometriosis. However, noteveryone with endometriosis experiences pain, and the amountyou feel may notberelatedtothe severity of the endometriosis.
Other symptoms of endometriosis can include excessivemenstrual bleeding, painful intercourse, painful bowelmovements or urination, bloating, diarrhea, and fatigue.
Endometriosis andInfertility
30%-50%ofwomen with endometriosis also experienceinfertility.Tosuccessfully get pregnant, an egghas to travel throughthe fallopian tube, getfertilized by the sperm, and implant into the uterine wall.Endometriosis caninterferewith ovulation, block the fallopian tubes, and damagesperm and eggs.
Endometriosis can onlybedefinitively diagnosed with alaparoscopy. Alaparoscope isathin tube your clinician will insert through an incisioninthe abdomen. It has alens with a light at the end and can identify the locations
https://www.aspirefertility.com/austin-texas
and sizeofthe misplacedtissue. However, it is importanttonotethatwhile laparoscopic excision of endometriosis is an optionfor management, if youare experiencing difficulty conceiving duetoendometriosis, laparoscopy is notalwaysnecessary to treatinfertilitydue to endometriosis.
Fertility Optionsfor Endometriosis
Forsome patients, pregnancy can be achieved oncethe endometriosisissurgically removed. Forothers, theymay be abletoconceive without needing surgery. The most effective optionfor someone experiencing infertility fromendometriosis is in vitro fertilization (IVF).
IVF can help if endometriosis is interfering with ovulation by extracting the eggs and fertilizing them with the sperm. It can also bypass the need foranegg to fertilizeinthe fallopian tube andtravelthrough the tube to the uterus forimplantationbydirectly transferring it into the uterus. Your fertility doctorwill factor in your diagnosis of endometriosis when coming up with aprotocol foryourIVF cycle.
If youhavesymptoms of endometriosis and arehaving troublegetting pregnant, please visit https://www.aspirefertility. com/austin-texas or call us at 512-479-7979 to learn moreabout your family-building options.
